All That's Left (AssClass Fanfic)

~ Tenth Chapter ~

"You know, we never really had a date." Kagemi said to Karma while they were sitting next to each other and doing Math.

"Do you wanna go on a date?" Karma asked her.

He stopped solving problem. Now, he was looking at her quietly. Kagemi shrruged and looked back at Math problems.

"Well... I wouldn't mind going on one normal date..." She mumbuled.

She was now blushing. Karma smiled and moved hair from her face. He got up and stopped in front of her. He got on one knee holding a pen in his hands. He was grinning.

"Akimoto Kagemi. Will you make me the happiest man alive and go on a date with me?"

Kagemi pushed him gently and blushed.

"You don't have to be so formal, Akabane." She smiled and took a pen. "I would love to."

He kissed her hand and smiled. Then he sat down on his chair again.

"So, what problem were we on?" He asked her.

She pointed at the problem before both of them started laughing.

"This was emberessing..." Karma said.

"I agree." Kagemi added. "Let's just continue with Math."

Suddenly, Kasumi peeked from under the table. She smiled creeply when Kagemi jumped.

"You guys are going on a date?" She asked them.

Kagemi pushed her away from their table.

"How long were you here?!" She yelled.

"Five minutes." Kasumi winked. "But enough to hear about the date."

They both blushed. They cleared their throaths and looked at the side.

"I wanted to ask you about triple date?" Kasumi said and got up from the floor.

"Triple?" Kagemi frowned.

"Hai. You and Karma, me and Mimura, Shizumi and Maehara."

"Shizumi finally asked him?"

"Hai, hai." Kasumi sang. "We would go to Fun Center."

"Okay, we will go with you. But we won't stay long." Kagemi said.

Karma frowned, but she stopped him by taking his hand.

"Okay. Today at 7 pm." She said and went outside the library.

"Why did you accepted when you don't plan on staying long?" Karma asked.

"I need to see how Maehara and Shizumi will get along. We will stay an hour. Than we will go somewhere alone."

"Heh, alone..." Karma mumbuled.

Kagemi pushed him gently.

"Shut up and solve this problem."

They both laughed and continued with Math.

At 7 pm they all gathered in front of Fun Center. They went inside and started playing all kind of games. Kagemi and Karma stopped on baseball. Karma was hitting balls that Kagemi was shooting from machine. In the corner of her eye, she could see Maehara and Shizumi laughing about something that Maehara said.

"I think they are getting along very well." Karma said hitting the ball.

"Me too." She said and pushed a button.

Karma hitted another ball. Kagemi looked at the clock. It was 8 pm already. She turned off the machine.

"Are we going?" She asked.

"Heh, where are you taking me, Kagi?" He asked and followed her outside the Fun Center.

They said to other that they were leaving before they left.

"Where are we going?" Karma asked once again.

"You'll see." She said.

She took him on some hill. They sat on the grass and looked over the edge. They could see the whole city: every school, every house, every light. Everything. Whole city was shining in the night. There was half of the moon on the sky. It was because Korosensei destroyed half of it. Wind blowed and Kagemi closed her eyes.

"I am coming here when I need to think..." She mumbuled.

"Heh..." Karma sang. "I didn't know you have that kind of place."

Kagemi turned towards him. He was sitting on a small rock, he was looking at her.

"When I was little, I would always come here with my mom." She said quietly.

"You lived here?" Karma asked.

"Yeah..." She said and looked at the moon. "I remember that we always were here... Under a full moon."

She smiled on that thought. She will never see full moon again. Everyone are blaming Korosensei because of that. But... Kagemi doesn't. Something was wrong about that.

Kagemi could feel Karma's hands around her. Her cheeks were all wet. She didn't even noticed when she started crying. She put her hand on her cheeks. When was the last time she cried? She doesn't remember. She was hiding her weak self all along. Her chest was hurting. Oh, so this is sadness. I already forgot how does it feels.

"It is okay..." She could hear Karma's whisper.

He sat on the grass and leaned on the rock. He pulled her into big hug.

"My mom..."

"I know, Kagemi."

He remembered his talk with Shizumi. How Kagemi's mother was killed in front of her eyes. She asked him to protect Kagemi. How is he suppose to do that? Kagemi was proffesional assassin. Not him. But he still promised that he will protect her.

Kagemi stopped crying and smiled to him. She kissed him quickly. Then, she leaned her back on his chest and looked at the sky. It was full of starts. Karma was running his fingers through her hair.

"Shizumi told you, huh?" She smiled.

"Hmm... Maybe."

"She can't keep her mouth shut..." She mumbuled.

"Tomorrow we have exams. Are you ready to beat those smart-asses?" He smirked evily.

"Of course I am." Kagemi smiled.

Karma lost himself in his thoughts.

"Satoko was talking about some school..." He started but she stopped him.

"We both went into school for assassins. And yes, that exists. No one just knows about it." She explained. "It is really expensive and dangerous school."

"Dangerous?"

"You are learning how to kill someone, Akabane."

There was silent between them for a moment. Then, she took his hand. She looked around herself just to be sure there is only two of them.

"Do you remember those people who attacked me?" She asked.

"How could I forget?"

"Well... I suspect on some people..."

"Which one..." Karma started.

"It doesn't matter now. I just suspect. But, when I will be sure, I will tell you everything. Okay?"

"But..."

"Please..." Kagemi said.

He was looking at her in silence. Then he nodded.

"Okay. But if you think that you are in danger, you need to tell me everything, okay?"

"Of course." She smiled and stood up with him. "Let's go. It is getting late."

They both started walking towards the road. Karma stopped a little and turned towards the hill. After couple of minutes of staring, he hurried after Kagemi.
