Emma started sitting with me on a daily basis and I was happy. One day Noah decide to join us, we had been talking more and I was ecstatic that he decided to sit with me.

"Hey Lucy, can I join you and Emma?" he smiled but he wasn't looking at me.

Emma didn't pay attention to him and just had her phone in her hand and earbuds in her ear.

"Sure" I replied to him. Emma pulled the earbuds out of her ear and noticed him sitting at out table. "What are you doing here?" she said with a faint blush on her cheeks. "Well I wanted to talk to you both" "So can I sit?".

"I guess..." Emma replied.

"I wanted to talk to you Emma, about when we're going to meet up for the science fair project."

"What are you talking about Noah?" Emma questioned, confused.

"You're a really good lab partner so I was wondering if you would be my partner for the science fair."

"Sure... I guess."

Emma talked to me after lunch was over and said that she was sorry and that if I didn't want them to be together then she would tell him but I told her that it was okay because it was, after all I didn't own him.

Noah and Emma started to get really friendly, everyday he would sit with us and everyday they just talked and talked, just the two of them.

Noah and I would share smiles but that was about it. I spend days reading while they became really close. Then one day Noah came up to me after class.

He looked scared and I was worried for him, he asked if we could talk private. I agreed wholeheartedly.

"Hey Luce, I know that you and Emma are close and I was wondering if I could ask you something."

"Is everything okay Noah? Of course you can."

"I maybe have a small, okay wait not small, huge crush on Emma, is there any chance she likes me?"

Hear that sound? That was the sound of my heart shattering. My mouth opened but no words came out. I had no idea was to say and I was frozen in my spot.

"I...um...she...she never mentioned it but it's possible" I said not being able to look him in the eyes, my heart aching even if I saw it coming.

"I kinda hoped you would say that..."

"What do you mean?"

"Lucy... would you be my fake girlfriend in order to make Emma jealous? I know it's alot to ask and she's your bestfriend but I was hoping you would."
