I thrash my arms, digging my bitten nails into the crease of his harry arm and run like a bat out of hell; I had to get out of here. Violently running, creating all the noise I could muster to attract attention from anyone, adrenaline streams through my body, forcing me forward in my greatest moments of weakness. The glorified thumping of his feet behind me pushes me farther and faster. What if he caught me? What would he do to me? Would he beat me and dispose of my body? Murder me? The unknown of my questions make me continue on while my body begins to shut down.
My legs tremble underneath me as I abruptly stop and bend over, filling my lungs with the chilled air. I silently pray he can't see me. As I catch my breath, I begin to jog steadily. His loud breathing echos through the woods, causing another adrenaline spike. Silencing my movements, hoping he can't track me, I listen to his delirious wails.
"Leah? Leah! Get back here! I won't stop until I find you, no matter what I have to do. You are mine!" His angry voice vibrates through the forest. I dig my fingernails into my palm; it's all I can do not to let tears drip down my cheek.
Much against my will, I drop to the ground, the pain too much to continue on.
A sharp, brutal stabbing in my neck forces me to wail out, risking my life, but I simply can't help it. I want to cry and scream some more, but fear ties down my tongue.
"I told you I would find you, Leah." He whispers into my ear. Acting quickly, I try to wrangle my arms out of his tight grip.
"Good luck trying to fight me," He laughed. "Enjoy the nap, babe. The Valium should be kicking in real soon."
"You know this is illegal." I spit.
"And yet, I've never been caught." He sly-dogged smiles.
"You will be, once my parents find me. They'll never stop looking."
"We will see when the day comes."
And with that, the sedative overpowers my will, and my mind fades into a deep sleep.
"Leah..." Someone's pissed off foot taps loudly next to me. "Dammit Leah, get up before he gets here. He'll be angry if you're not up."
I roll over, my sore and tense body aching with every movement. Where am I? Who is talking to me? Is my name even Leah? With every last bit of energy in my body, I flick open my puffy eyes. Standing in front of me, a honey blonde girl of medium height, gestures at me to get up. She looks annoyed, possibly even irritated. Who the hell is she? What's her deal?
"Who... Who are you? Why am I here?" I choke, praying for some answers; praying she would help me get home.
"I'm Brook, been here the longest. You're here to entertain Tenner. Just like the rest of us." She answers broadly, shrugging her shoulders. "Now get up. I'm not getting punished because you wouldn't get around and it was my job to make sure you did."
"He told me he would punish me last night," I said, pushing myself off of the firm mattress. "What will he do to me? Will it hurt? Will he kill me?"
"Leah, chill out."
Brook taps her foot, expecting my anxiety to immediately disperse. I feel my entire body tense, muscle by muscle. What the hell is going on? Why can't I get any damn answers?
"Are you kidding me? I was taken last night! Are you fucking crazy?" I scream, beginning to breathe loudly. My body continues to erupt angrily, and I know it's only a matter of time before I completely fall apart.
"Shut up. Just shut up. Tenner doesn't like swear words, and he certainly doesn't like screaming. We can talk more about this later. Now go get ready. Clean clothes are in the cupboard in the bathroom. Might want to apply a little makeup too. You're looking... a little rough to say politely."
