Main Things to Know

So, first things first. Before you go on a Disney trip, there are several things you need to know...

1. You MUST do planning before hand

Before you go on a Disney trip of any sort, you NEED to do some planning! These days, (specifically in Disney World) you can't go on a vacation to a Disney destination without planning. I suggest you get a My Disney Experience© account. This will help you plan everything. Weather it's FastPass+ or dining reservations, this website will help you.

2. You can't just go!

Adding back to #1, you cannot just say you're gonna stop by Disney World for a 5 night vacation. You have to plan! Some Fastpass+ and dining picks are reserved just minutes after they are released. For example, when Frozen Ever After first opened, the Fastpass+ was gone in the blink of an eye!

3. Lines will be long!

When it comes to any popular theme parks, it's a no brainer. There will be a few long lines! This is why it's important to either create Fastpass+ reservations, or be ready to occupy yourself in a long line. What I like to bring is...

-Life savers

-Fruit snacks (or any other small snacks)

-My phone

-Notepads

-Park Map

I like to bring these items because they can occupy everyone! Sucking on the Life Savers can help time fly! Fruit snacks can help any case of the munchies, or plain being bored. Some notepads so you can write or draw. A park map because they are just fun to look at. Last but not least, your phone! Now, this is not me suggesting that you get on and play Minecraft and neglect your family, but so you can plan out where you're going next! I like to use the Disney World Lines app by Touring Plans! It has the line wait time for each ride in the parks, and it will tell you if something is closed!
