Natalie's P.O.V
Another day, another field trip, another excuse to not go. Ah yes, just an average day at Miss Rooney's orphanage, or at least, it was for me. Being as antisocial as I am, I happily excused myself from the swimming trip to wash all the bathrooms, but of course I was allowed to listen to my music as I do so.
All the caretakers at the orphanage trust me immensely, so they never left anyone too watch me, Which meant even less socializing for me! Yay!
I quickly descend the staircase to find my CD player, which my friend Ally had borrowed the night before, but she never was able to put stuff back in place, so I always had to hunt for my things. I finally found my stereo behind a stack of books in the rec room and popped my "take this to your grave" disc in, waiting for Patrick Vaughn Stump's angelic voice to wash over me. Oh yes, did I mention I was a giant Fall Out Boy fan?
My first job was to sweep the front foyer, so I set to work, all while screaming the lyrics into the broom handle and dancing the tango with it. Yes, I know, I am honestly just one big cliche.
A loud knock on the front door startles me out of my trance and I squeak, which is not abnormal. Was it a person? I mentally smack myself for that one, because obviously it's a frickin' panda. Come on Natalie, get it together!
I prepare myself, smoothing my band T and pulling up my jeans before tentatively opening the door. When I see who is standing not five feet from me, I squeak again and nearly faint.
Patrick and Elisa Stump were standing outside my door.

Patrick's P.O.V
"Are you ready for this?" Elisa asked me hesitantly. We were standing outside a large Victorian house that had been transformed into an orphanage many years ago, and I was doing something that I never thought I would.
We were adopting a child.
Elisa squeezes my hand reassuringly before knocking on the large oak doors. Foot steps sound from just inside the door, and I can hear music playing loudly. Why does it sound so familiar?
A young girl appears at the door, a broom clutched in one hand, and I recognize the music as my own. Upon seeing us, the girl squeaks softly and looks as if she is going to fall over.
"Um, hi." I manage, waving awkwardly. The girl laughs nervously before offering her hand. "Uh, hi. I'm Natalie. I'm a really big fan." She says rushedly, as if we are just a figment of her imagination that will disappear quickly. I shake her hand and introduce myself.
"I'm Patrick, but I guess you already know that. This beautiful woman right here is my wife, Elisa." I gesture towards her with my free hand. Natalie holds out her hand to Elisa.
"Wow, you really are as gorgeous as everyone says!" She is, and I kid you not, gushing and blushing slightly. Elisa blushes as well, smiling really widely. "Thank you, Natalie! It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Right back at ya." She grimaces before apologizing, "I'm so sorry, that was awful!" I chuckle slightly at this, gesturing towards the door.
"May we come in?" I ask her, hoping to not alarm her, but she seems totally easygoing with the idea of letting two practical strangers into her "home"
"The caretakers are out, but if you would like, you can hang around here until they get back. They usually stay out for about an hour or so, and they left forty minutes ago, so they shouldn't be too long." She walks lightly, in the flitty way a fairy would, despite her slightly larger build. "I could show you around, if you'd like?"
I exchange glances with Elisa, who nods. "We'd love that. Thank you for offering!" Natalie grins widely. "No problem!"
"So, this is the rec room. Sorry, I'll shut the music off now." She jogs over to the stereo and presses pause. "This is basically where we have our free time. We've got Netflix and computers and...." She babbles on and on about the orphanage as she guides us through the various rooms and hallways. Shes quite animated with her actions, acting out everything with her hands.
Fifteen minutes later, a bunch of people began pouring through the front door, children squealing loudly. Natalie's face changes from happy and content to frightened.
"Hey, are you okay?" Elisa puts her hand on her back, trying to comfort her.
"It's just- so many people." She shudders visibly, very obviously uncomfortable.
"Why don't you go take a break. Elisa and I have to go talk to one of the caretakers anyway." She nods slightly before heading off to her room.
We made our way back downstairs, nearly running over a couple of kids as we went along. An older woman was ushering kids through the front doors, so we decide to try and talk with her.
"Hello!" She cries, smile lines forming around her kind eyes. "I assume your Mr and Mrs Stump?"
"That would be us. We'd like to talk to you about the adoption." I shook her hand formally. She lead us into what I would guess is her office, offering us two chairs that looked about as comfy as they felt.
"So, would you like to meet some of the children? They are all lovely souls who just hope and pray to get out of here."
I shook my head before turning to Elisa and whispering something in her ear, too which she nodded excitedly.
"Although we'd love to be able to adopt every last one of them, we only have room for one more in our family." I tell her, my smile going from ear to ear.
Elisa chimes in with the life changing news. "We've already made our decision!"

Natalie's P.O.VI lay on my bed, listening to my music through earbuds. I can't believe I met Patrick and Elisa! That has been a dream of mine ever since I found out who they were four years ago, and now it has come true! And, since they are to an orphanage, I'm guessing that they are looking to adopt, so I technically have a 1-53 chance of getting adopted by my idols.
Someone knocks on my door loudly, making me jump once again. I got off my bed and opened the door a crack, peering through hesitantly. Miss Rooney is standing outside the door, a giant grin dancing on her lips. I step out from my hiding spot and sheepishly hug her, a normal greeting for the main caretaker.
"Natalie, honey, I have exciting news!" Her smile is blindingly bright at this point, I almost have to shield my eyes. Her excitement is highly contagious and I find myself smiling happily, bouncing with excitement.
"What? What is it?" I squeal. Wait, since when do I squeal? I'm not the squealing kind of girl, but oh well, this is more important.
Miss Rooney side stepped slightly, revealing Patrick and Elisa, both of them waving maniacally. "Hi!" Elisa cried.
Suddenly, the whole thing comes crashing down on me, and I run to them smothering them in hugs.
After a moment of hugging, Miss Rooney cleared her throat, bringing my attention back her way.
"Natalie," she looks as if she was about to begin crying and I'm pretty sure I already am. "Meet your new parents!"
