Natalie's P.O.V

I can't believe I was finally adopted! And by the Stumps no less!

After hearing the news, Patrick went downstairs with Miss Rooney to sign some paper work while Elisa stayed to help me pack my bags. Although I had very few belongings, they seemed to be spread all among the house, making packing difficult.

"So, Natalie, how long have you been here?" Elisa asks me as she folds one of my shirts, tucking it neatly into my duffle bag.

"Almost my whole life, really." I respond as I put my books into a Rubbermaid tote I kept in my closet. "I was a total cliche, too. I was only nine months old, but Miss Rooney found me outside the door crying, a little name tag taped to my pajamas that had my name and age, but that's it. I've been here ever since." Elisa's face is rather somber looking, her lips tight and straight on her petite face.

"I see." She mumbles and she sounds sort of angry, for some reason. Suddenly, she turns to face me, looking me straight in the eyes. "Patrick and I will never, ever abandon you like that. And, let me tell you, you sort of seem like you blame yourself for them leaving, but it's not! How could you possibly have done something that would make them want to give you up at nine months?" I shake my head, coming to sit beside her on my old bed. I could feel the tears begin to fall, leaving salty trails on my cheeks.

"Oh dear, I'm sorry. I'm so insensitive sometimes. C'mere." she wraps her slender arms around my torso and squeezed tightly. she smells of vanilla and liquorice, a lovely combination that almost cascades off of her. I hugged her back, trying desperately to stop crying. she was so comforting and kind, and I want to suck up all this positive energy, hopefully leaving me feeling refreshed.

"Thank you Mama." I whisper into her shoulder.

Mama. She called me Mama. She sounds just like Declan when she says it, too, so sweet and innocent. I feel tears of joy beginning to spill and I try desperately to blink them away, but as soon as Patrick enters the room, they spill over like a waterfall.

"Hi Daddy. Come join us, I don't bite." Natalie chuckled through her tears, patting the empty space beside her. Patrick giggles in his adorable way and sits down, tackling the two of us in a giant hug.

After the hugging, I turn towards them. "Are we almost finished packing? I think Declan wants some ice cream!" Natalie smiles really widely and nods. "Just a few goodbyes to say. Is all of the paper work done?"

Patrick nods. Natalie gets up and hugs us before going off to find her friends and after we watch her dissapear out the door, I look at Patrick.

"She called me Mama, 'trick. Mama. I actually started crying when she said it. She sounded just like Declan, too!" I tell him excitedly, bouncing slightly.

"I know. She called me Daddy, and not in the weird way that some fans do, she meant it genuinely. I can't wait to get to know her more."

I put my head on his shoulder and sighed. "Me neither."

Natalie's P.O.V

Mama. Daddy. I actually said those words. This day could honestly not get any better. I do a little cha-Ching motion with my arm, whispering "Everything's coming up autumn!" Wow, I thought as I quickly checked myself, could I be a bigger dork?

I knocked softly on Ally's door in a specific pattern we had created just weeks ago. Whoa, has it only been a couple of weeks? It feels like an eternity. Ally opens the door with a smile, her pearly whites gleaming.

"Natalie! Oh, I heard the news! I'm so happy for you!!" she squeals, pulling me into her cluttered little bedroom. She, of course, is a giant Fall Out Boy fan, and I little idea suddenly pops into my head.

"Tell me all the details! Is the mother as gorgeous as we imagined? Does the dads eyes twinkle with life? Tell me!" I laugh at her eagerness. "They are actually in my room waiting for me. Would you like too meet them?"

Ally nearly pulls me over countless times on the short walk to my room, squealing and giggling hysterically. We finally make it to my door without to many bruises and I begin to turn the knob. As soon as she sees Mama and Daddy, she nearly faints.

"Um, Natalie, is your friend okay? She looks kind of sick." Daddy points out, making me chuckle. This is so like Ally, finally having the chance to meet her role models, then almost throwing up.

"Oh golly. Mr. Stump, it's truly an honor to meet you! And Same to you, Mrs. Stump!" I kid you not, she bowed formally to them before turning to me. "I'm not in a dream, right? This is really happening?" I nod reassuringly to her, smiling wide.

"It's not a dream, Ally. I'd like you to meet my mum, Elisa. Mama, this is my best friend Ally." they shook hands quickly as I moved on. "And this is my dad, Patrick. Daddy, this is Ally, my one and only friend in real life." once again, they shake hands before looking Ally dead in the eyes.

"If you ever come to visit my daughter, you better drop that 'Mr and Mrs' thing. Call me Patrick." She looked sheepishly down at the ground, mumbling an apology, as I just stood there frozen. Did he really just call me "Daughter"?

After a few minutes of socializing, Daddy stood up. "It really was a pleasure meeting you, Ally. Maybe once Natalie's gotten settled you could come visit." Ally is still in shock, her mouth hanging open ever so slightly. "I-I'd love too. Thank you for the invitation!"

Ally helps me carry my rubbermaid down the stairs out to the new car. We load it in, followed by Mama and Daddy with my two duffle bags and my small backpack. Ally pulls me aside, leaving my new parents alone at the curb, waiting for me.

"Oh Natalie! I can't believe it finally happened! And to your idols no less!! I just wanted to give you something to remember me by." with that, she presses a small pendant into my hand, which I soon realize is a guitar pick emblazoned with the Fall Out Boy logo. "I was going to save it for your birthday, but this seemed like a more appropriate time." she finishes with some funky jazz hands, making me laugh. I tackle her in a giant hug, nearly pushing her to the ground.

"Ally, thank you so much! I can't explain how much you mean to me, and I will never forget you! We can always chat online, and as soon as I get the phone number, I'll send it too you." I look behind me to where Mama and Daddy are patiently waiting, talking softly.

"Ally, I love you so much. I hope you get adopted really soon!" I give her one more quick hug before running back to the car and only then do I notice the tears running down my cheeks.

"Ready to go?" Daddy asks me as I approach them. I nod silently, climbing into the back seat.

After everyone is buckled in and ready to go, Mama turns around to face me.

"Are you ready for this?" she asks me, smiling brightly. I nod eagerly in response because, honestly, how could I not be excited?

Seeming satisfied with my answer, my parents (gee, that's really fun and really weird to say) face the road, looking determined. Mama sticks her finger up in the air as if she's about to make a point.

"Next stop, home!!"
