Your smile brightens up my day
Lightens up my night
Makes the world stop
And shames the sun out of its job
Your smile has my heart
Doing overtime
Beating off the chart
As if committing a crime
...
Today I met someone She couldn't see How beautiful she is
Today I looked at her She hurt me With her pained eyes
Today I talked to her She had to stall So I wouldn't catch her lies
Today I heard her The voice that said it all And the hurt in her words
Today I didn't believe her Not one bit Not at all
When she replied 'I'm fine' Nothing to worry about
I think not
