madeleine sighed happily as she ran her hands through the fabric, feeling all the silk and the leaher. shopping made her feel happy and it relaxed her. it got rid of all her negativity and it was really a sort of therapy for her.
as she looked through the clothes and innerly cursed at some of the garments— will the silk bomber jacket trend ever die—, she eventually narrowed it down and she had some hangers in her hand, ready to be purchased.
as she stood in line, she decided to play around on her phone. she didn't realise how long she'd been there until the customer behind her not-so-nicely pushed her and she was practically launched to the counter.
as she dropped the clothes on the counter, she noted the cashier.
man, he was the definition of good-looking.
like any other girl, she stood there dreaming about the cute cashier, and again, not realizing she'd been there for minutes and the cashier had already gave her the receipt and shopping bag which held her purchases.
madeleine immediately grabbed the receipt, hurriedly shoved it into the bag, and quickly made her way out.

once she finally sat down at a cafe did she start to scold herself innerly.
"you actual idiot. you made it so obvious you were into him. great job. the chances of you meeting him again are so wide honestly."
she shook her head as if to get the negative thoughts out and soon remembered her new clothes.
as she pulled out one of the garments— a very cute pale pink blouse— the receipt came tumbling out as well. it fell flat right next to her phone and the cup of latte she ordered.
it was only then she noticed the little scribble at the bottom.
she picked the piece of paper up hastily and had to pinch herself to make sure she wasn't dreaming.
in neat writing, it was written "xxx-xxxx-xxxx. you're pretty cute too."
