Straight to the chapter...

We got out of the car and started walking to nowhere in particular. Harry suggested we stop at the cotton candy stand first. My mouth watered at the smell, so obviously I agreed. Taking out a little bit of cash, I paid for a jumbo bag and we sat on a bench, pecking at the pink and blue fluff.

We laughed and played and joked around for hours. At about midnight, I said we should head for the Ferris Wheel. While we were in line, we started singing WMYB for fun. It’s almost out of habit. When me and the boys are waiting for something, that’s what we always sing. As we got in the cart, we began to see the crowd of fans moving toward us. I had a feeling this was going to happen. “Get it going and stop us at the top!” I hollered to the worker. He looked confused but did a thumbs up. As the screams reached us, the worker seemed to understand.

We were soon on top, and both of us were laughing and waving. We sang for them again, and our girls screamed louder. After the carnival security got everyone to leave, I requested we stay on top for awhile. That caused Harry to give me one of his “What the heck?” looks but I didn’t care. I had to tell him how I felt. “Listen, Harry. I need to talk to you,” I said nervously. He looked at me and nodded, silently urging me to continue.

Before I could say another word, the carnival worker shouted: “Hey fellas! You need to come down now!” I sighed. “Okay, Mate!” I shouted back. Receiving another quizzical look from Harry, I shrugged as we descended. I thanked the carnie and we were off.

I guess I’d have to tell Harry how I felt later. I helped Harry out of the cart was we started walking toward the games. “Ski ball,” Harry muttered quietly. I smirked and grabbed him hand, pulling him to ski ball game. His face lit up like a child on Christmas.

“Ski ball!” He looked at me with that beautiful smile and big eyes. I would’ve lost it right there if he hadn’t taken off. I sighed contently and quickly followed.

As Harry reached into his pocket, I quickly grabbed his wrist to stop him. I let go and grabbed the needed money. Harry gave me a disapproving look. I just smirked at him.

Harry’s POV

When Louis didn’t let me pay for ski ball I swore to myself I’d pay for something. I felt bad, but shook it off. There was only one spot open. “Louis, you go,” I said. He protested, and I pushed him toward it. “You paid.”

“But it was your idea. Go,” he said. He’s too stubborn.

Then I thought of something. I have no idea why I did it, and I knew it would backfire. But I did it anyway.

I grabbed his hand, and dragged us both over to the empty game. Still holding his hand, I picked up a ball, making it so we both were holding it. “Better?” I said, smirking at his red face. He nodded and forced a smile. As we pulled back to make a shot, Louis twisted our wrists and we made it into the 100 hole.

He stood there proudly, while I was starring in shock. “Boom,” he said, then grabbed another ball. Placing it in my hand, he wrapped him arm around me as we were both gripping the ball.

Louis flicked his wrist again, and we scored another 100. “Yes!” We high-fived and continued playing, getting 100 every time.

After we finished, we had the choice of any prize. Louis looked at me expectedly, so I guess I was choosing. I settled for the biggest stuffed animal, a giant elephant. I gave Louis a childish smile and he smirked at me, shaking his head.

I hugged it tightly as we walked back to the car. It was really late. Lou offered to drive again, and I didn’t object. I settled into the car seat, snuggled with my prize. I heard Louis sigh, and I opened one eye. I saw him stealing glances at me. I smiled as I snuggled deeper into my prize. Again, I fell into a dreamless sleep.

I felt the car lurch to a stop, but I didn’t want to move. I groaned in protest and turned a little bit. Then I felt two arms go under me, picking me up along with my stuffed animal. Louis’s sweet smell entered my nose and I smiled. I really hoped he didn’t notice, but on the other hand I didn’t care. I was way too tired to care about anything at the moment. Hearing the front door open, I twisted as Louis carried me up the stairs. I heard the TV on in Niall’s room, and I heard him crunching on something. Typical Nialler. I knew Louis probably thought I was still asleep, but at this point I was just pretending. He kicked our door open, and laid me down on my bed.

He was about to leave me, and the still-asleep part of me grabbed the back of his shirt. “Don’t leave me,” I said. Surprisingly, he didn’t object. He just laid beside me.

Louis’s POV

I silently cheered as I laid down next to Harry. I learned not to get my hopes up. He’s tired. Harry won’t even remember this in the morning. He moved the elephant to the foot of the bed and put his face in the crook of my neck. I shuddered. He was so cute. I took this advantage and wrapped my arms around him. He sighed, and smiled.

I kissed his forehead, something we always do. But it felt different as these feeling came about. Sighing contently, I was about to fall asleep until I heard Harry singing Moments. He sounded sad all of a sudden.

“What’s wrong, Hazza?” I asked worriedly. He looked at me, and squinted his eyes. “Nothing, Boo Bear. I’m fine.” With that, he returned to snuggling up to me, pressing his nose into my neck. I smiled at how right this felt. I sighed contently as I fell into a dreamless sleep.

I woke at midnight to Harry thrashing and sobbing. My happiness was then replaced by worry. “Haz? What’s wrong?” I said, a little louder than necessary. After I said something, he calmed down a bit, but was still crying. I shook him and his eyes fluttered open.

Tears were still falling, but I smiled at his adorable face. Harry through himself at me, hugging me so tight I had a hard time breathing. I knew he probably didn’t want to talk about it so I said nothing. About ten minutes later, he pulled away and grabbed the elephant that had fallen to the floor, and hugged that instead. I loved how he was such a kid.

I scooted over and rubbed his back. “Are you okay, Haz?” He nodded quickly and asked if I could make breakfast. “Haz, it’s midnight,” I said. “I know.” Was his reply. I sighed, knowing I couldn’t say no to him. He quickly followed me and he sat on the couch watching old cartoons while I sat out the stuff to make some breakfast.

As the eggs were frying, I got out milk and apple juice. I smirked when I heard Harry giggle. He’s the cutest.

My smile faded as I repeated that thought. I need to stop thinking about this. There is no way Harry feels the same, and I know it. As I was lost in my thoughts, I hadn’t notice Harry get up from where he was sitting and walk over to me. I must’ve been standing pretty still, because my muscles began to ache.
