Strange smells

Natsu's P.O.V

Rolling over to get more comfortable I felt something cold and slowly opened my eyes to see...Gray?
I SLEPT NEXT TO THE STRIPPER?!?!?!
As I thought of an explanation for this I realized I was laying on the floor then it came to me. Miyako!!! She had knocked us out and I guess no one bothered to move us.

I stood up and stretch, putting my hands behind my head as I walked around all the drunk and sleeping bodies in the guild up to the bar.

" Morning Natsu! Sleep well?" Mira greeted as she set some food in front of me. I grumbled about about now being in my hammock at home then started shoving food in my mouth as the rest of the guild either started to wake up or came walking in.

Every time the doors opened I looked up to see who it was and felt disappointed each time. Why though? Who am I looking for? Is it Happy? It must be! I got up from the bar after shoving the rest of my food into my mouth and started to look around the guild for my blue companion.

Miyako's P.O.V

Darkness. That's all there was. Blank. Empty. Then there was a sound. It was almost like someone was calling my name.

I was soon pulled out of my sleep by the sound of Laxus' voice calling me.
I groaned and throw my pillow at the door frame which he stood at, only to regret it because now I could no longer block out the sun with it.

" Come on get out of bed lazy. We are leaving for the guild soon. "

I slowly opened one eye then quickly closed it. Yup to early. But then my warm cave of blankets was crudely ripped from my grasp.

I shot up and made a grab for them only to misjudge how far I'd have to reach and fall out of bed. Face. First.

I could hear Laxus laughing in the doorway.

"Get up and get ready everyone's waiting for you" and with that he left me alone on the floor in what I assumed to be his room.

"Baka"

I grabbed my bag, which he must have brought from the guild, from beside the bed and grabbed some black jeans and a grey t-shirt before going to his bathroom to take a nice hot shower.

After I came out I quickly got dressed, put my boots on and grabbed my headphones, sticking them into my ears as I walked outside the house.

Hmm. I guess they couldn't wait and left to the guild already. I mean my shower was like...an hour long? Whatever. I pulled on my green coat with a hood lined with fur and made my way towards the well known guild. Humming slightly to the tone of my music.

* time skip by Happy eating fish*

As I hoped the guild doors I was met with a Happy to the face. Literally. He clung to my head for dear life as Lucy ran towards us screaming about him being a stupid and rude cat.

I simply pulled him off my face and help him close. Patting his head as I walked to the bar to talk to Mira.

"Thank you Miyako for saving me from the mean Luigi" the cat mumbled as she chewed a fish

"I heard that!"

I smirked at them. Man this guild hasn't changed. I almost wanted to smile but I didn't. I hadn't for years and I wasn't going to now, not yet anyway.

I took a seat at the bar next to Cana as Mira brought me some water.

"Hey Mira when do you think gramps will let me go on a job? Y'know since he kinda chewed me out for leaving for so long I'm not sure how he'd feel about me going on a job so soon.." I trailed off as I saw he smile falter.

"Why would you wanna leave? We just got you back! And you haven't had a chance to meet most of the guild. Maybe you could even join a team?"

"Mira...you know I used to strictly go on solo missions and it still hasn't changed. I refuse to be in a team."

She pouted slightly but I kept a stern face and eventually she gave up and went to go bring other people their food.

I sat in silence as I watched everyone in the guild. That's when I spotted a girl reading some books, and man did they look old. That got my interest so I slowly stood up and stalked over to her table and plopped down next to her.

"So what' ch readin?" I asked as I leaned towards the browning papers taking in each word.

"Oh I'm trying to decode this ancient language. But I'm just drawing blanks. By the way I don't think we've properly met. My name is Levy" said the small girl as she held out her hand to me. I took it instantly giving her a small smirk

" The names Miyako. And that text isn't too hard to figure out. It says 'Where the water dives down and the earth becomes liquid is where the flower blooms' why do you need that anyway. Sounds kinda lame"

" Wow Miyako how'd you do that? And I needed it for a quest to fine a rare plant, thank you!"

"Ya no problem I've been around and learn a few things here and there."

"Well thanks a lot I should go tell my team where the flower is. I can only guess of one spot near where we are detaching. The waterfall. Well I'll see you later Miyako, or beautiful night child" Levy giggled as she grabbed her books and walked away.

"Beautiful night child?" Someone questioned from right behind me. I stiffened as I felt their breath tickle the back of my neck but relaxed when Lucy spoke up

"Natsu it isn't polite to listen to other people's conversations" she scolded as she sat next to me

" Ya well I don't care. So what does that mean?"

" it's what my name means. If you really must know." I replied boredly

"Well that's an interesting name you've got then" Gray said as he joined the group, sitting next me with his arm on the back of my chair.

"Ya my mom gave it to me. But I'd rather not talk about that" I said as I started putting my headphones in. Soon their words were muted as they continued to chat with each other.

Lucy's P.O.V

I was talking to Gray about needing money for rent when I noticed Natsu leaning across the table right in Miyako's face. Thank god her eyes were closed while she was listening to her music

"Natsu stop playin' around!" I yelled as I hit him in the head

"Owww luce that hurt!" He poured as he sat back down in his seat rubbing the top of his head

"Ya well then you shouldn't have been creepy and gotten in her face" I said.

" I can't help it. It's her scent...it's like...I don't know. I've smelt it before but yet I haven't and I just can't place it." Natsu said with a hand on his face like he was thinking hard

This really surprised Gray and I because Natsu never thinks. Then he said something weird and walked away to find Happy, as if we hadn't just been talking to him.

" It's like something from a dream..."
