Mothers.

The people who like to wake you up for school the hard way. My mother decides to turn the air all the way down and take my blanket so its cold onto my skin which made me shoot up in bed , reaching for my warm black blanket.

Me: Mom!

Mom: Its a school day Alex. Get up.

I crossed my arms and pouted.

Me: I dont wanna.

She mocked me.

Mom: I dont care. Get up.

And to make her even more "mature" she walked out the room , with my blanket.

Me: Way to be mature mom!

Mom: I know right!

I shivered and got up. I went into the bathroom. I did my business and walked out after washing my hands. I went into the closet and picked out my outfit which was just some black ripped jeans , a white tanktop , and my black cardigan.

20 minutes later I was dressed with my hair into a high ponytail. I slipped in my contacts and went downstairs into the kitchen. My mom was sitting at the table with my dad and my plate was on the counter beside my older sister Claire. I sat beside her and began to eat my pancakes and sausage.

Claire: I cant take you home today.

Me: I have to stay after for practice so do you mean after school or practice.

Claire: After practice. Im going off with Matt.

Me: So how do I get home?

Claire: I dont know. Ask mom or something.

Me: You know she has 3rd shift at the hospital.

She looked at me with a fake smile and began to bat her fake lashes which let me know she was about to say something stupid.

Claire: So you better start walking.

Me: Im not walking home in the damn dark, Claire.

Claire: Guess you aint never gonna get home.

Me: So you'd rather pick Matt then my safety.

Claire: Well when you put it that way , I sound like a bad sister.

I looked at her with a glare as she pouted.

Me: Your a bitch.

Claire faked a gasp.

Claire: That's the nicest thing you could ever say to your big sister.

Me: Dont get a big ego , your only older by a year.

Claire: Which is 365 days that makes me older. So I'm happy.

I scoffed and ate in silence.

Claire: Are you mad at me?

Me: Take your fucking guess Claire.

Dad: Language girls.

Me: Sorry dad.

Claire: Oh come on Alex. You cant seriously be mad at me because Im older.
