Chapter 8 : Memories (continued)

"Bye bye Kuro!" The girl said as she walked away from the cat , deep down wishing that the cat would follow her.

The cat followed her footstep. Then, the girl felt a pair of hands coming behind of her and then, it hugged her .It ruffles itself against the girl's neck and hugged her tightly . "Don't leave..." it whispered . Startled , she attempt to stand up but she could not escape from the tight grip. Then suddenly , the grip loosen. The young girl looked back and saw the most beautiful pair of blue eyes and shiny silver hair . It was almost as if she was looking at her prince . He was no bigger than the girl , just slightly taller .

"W...who are you... w...were you that cat!?" The girl said in disbelief . Well sure its the age for her to believe in fairytale...but transforming cats?!? Her legs turned jelly and she sat onto the mud , once again ruining her skirt.
"Thank you... for saving me" Kuro said , as he look down onto the grass , afraid to make eye contact with the girl. "And...don't believe what those bullies said... y...you're very cute..." he said as his face turned red . The girl was dazzled , in her field of vision Kuro looked like a flower in this patches of grass. Realising what Kuro said , she blushed immediately too , burying her face into her knee and muffling out a "t..thanks.." . "C..can we be friends?" Kuro said as he initiate a handshake ,the girl reached out her hand and say ," I'm (y/n)!"

"(Y/n)...can you look back awhile..." Kuro said as he point behind the girl's back , "I...I want to change form..." The girl did as Kuro said , resisting the temptation to look back . Then , Kuro , now a black cat , jumped on the girl's lap and made himself comfortable. It was as though it were saying :" Just bring me home" , but the girl's parent don't like cats , especially black cats , since they think black cats are bad omen . (A/N: BLACK CATS ARE DARNASSS CUTE OKAY)

"Sorry Kuro...I can't bring you home... but I'll visit you everyday in this park okay!!" The girl said.
Kuro , was extremely disappointed, but he understands her circumstance .

From that day on , the girl never failed to meet her cat friend in the park. Be it rainy or sunny , she'll always be there even when she was sick.

"Ne...(y/n)" Kuro whispered in the girl's ear , "You'll always be mine, right?" the girl asked ," how long is 'always'?"
"For the rest of your life"
"Then, yes , i will always be yours!!" She said gleefully as Kuro place a flower on her ear , before revealing a smirk.

"Ne Kuro!!LOOK AT THIS NECKLACE!! I MADE IT!!" She said proudly as she presents a white leather collar with a letter 'K' engraved on it . "This is for you!!" Kuro was grinning, he couldn't contain his happiness and he said ,"Are you using this to mark me as yours?" He said as he laughed at the girl's flustered reaction."Help me put it on" Kuro said as he turn his back to the girl. As the girl was about to put the collar , she realised a small scar on his neck. She touched it , and Kuro flinched to the discomfort . "What happened?Was it the bully incident?" Kuro nodded , remembering the pain of the tree branch piercing into his skin as the bully pokes him. But Kuro don't see it as a scar , instead , he sees is as the mark when he and the girl met each other

It was another normal day and Kuro was waiting in the park as per usual , however , the girl was nowhere to be found. She will always be there earlier than Kuro , but today it was weird . Kuro decided to go to her school , only to be greeted with the sight of his dear girl with another guy who has the same silver hair but he has black eyes that glistens under the sun . Kuro clenched his fist , ready to snatch her back at all cost , not understanding why is she with another guy . They were laughing together and poking each others cheeks, ruffling and messing each others hair . Kuro then picked up a nearby stone and was going to take a step towards the girl and her friend , before stopping . "What if she hates me afterwards...nO...NO....nO!" Then , he dropped the stone and ran away.

He ran . He ran and never came back . The girl went to the park that day and waited for him , but he never came . The girl waited at the park almost everyday , whether was it the sun or the rain , she waited in the park . She wondered was he angry because she was late . She was beyond upset she lost her dearest friend . She drew him on paper and stick around her neighbourhood 'MISSING CAT' . Soon , she fell ill ,very sickly . The toll from waiting under the sun and in the rain took a toll from her fragile body and sent her into a coma . She lost her best friend way too fast , with no reasons . Just like sea foam, he disappeared . When she woke up , she didn't remember anything . She had no idea who was Kuro anymore , despite being shown the poster she put up. And from that day on, 'Kuro' no longer exists in her world .
