School Fete

Chapter 8

The next day Sophia woke up after that rainy night, she open the windows to see what's the weather like out door she realize the bright light shinning into her eyes, Sophia is really happy that it's not raining she rushed in her bathroom to take a shower a few minutes after she come out wrapped in her towel and head straight to her room to get dress, after she went down stairs to called her mom she realize no one answer her call, Sophia is really confused she didn't know if school is going to be in session, she called her mom on the phone while on the phone her "mom told her she didn't have much time she didn't want to be late for work", she apologise to Sophia that she didn't woke her up. Sophia says that's OK mom no need to apologize, so she asks her mom if school going to open today.

"Her mom's response was that I get an email from the school this morning, "something special going to happen today it's a surprise" said Sophia mom. Sophia is really exciting to hear what's going to happen, she asked her mom what's going to take place, her mom tells her that there is going to be a school fete at 12:00 pm. "Sophia mom told her I have to go now we'll talk when I get home". As soon as she hangs up the phone, she called Sasha to tell her about the school fete, by the time she got the chance to say anything Sasha told her that her parents say she can stay with Sophia until they get back, Sophia is over excited to hear this she say to herself "This is going to be awesome, "she asks Sasha when she's going to come over Sasha say "I'll come today after the fete,but tell your mom what my parents had said. Sophia tells Sasha about the fate that's going to be at school at 12 today, Sasha says to Sophia, "I have already gotten the message from Alexa but thanks anyway".Sophia called her mom and give her the news, her mom said OK, I'll call her when I get the chance so I can ask her when to come collect her stuff.

In the meanwhile Sophia take out her outfit that she's going to wear at the fete, after she went downstairs to look after something to eat because she didn't get any breakfast, Sophia looks about toast bread and butter. Sophia don't normally ate much food she didn't want to gain weight. A few minutes after she went back upstairs to call Josh she realize the phone is going straight to voice message so she put her phone down and watch some TV until it's almost time. It's now 11:30 am Sophia said "oh no! I can't believe its 11:30 am already " Sophia didn't bother to take any more shower because she already did this morning, so she put on her skinny jeans and a T-shirt she called Sasha and ask her if she ready to go, Sasha response is " I'm almost at your place so get all  your things ready, Sophia check to ensure that the place is secure and tidy before she leaves out.

As she step outside she saw Sasha walking towards her, Sophia say just in time, let's go to the fete to enjoy ourselves. On the way they meet Alexa so they walk together, so Sasha asks Sophia about Josh she told her that when she texts his phone
It goes straight to voicemail and when I try to call he didn't answer. Alexa said to Sophia what if he's seeing someone else? "I would just avoid him and move on with my life, " said Sophia, as they approach the school they were so excited to see that a lot of person is there so Alexa said she's going to take some fresh air leaving Sasha and Sophia by themselves , but that didn't stop both girls from having fun they go in the photo booth to get take some pictures after they bought Cotton candies,  after they have had all their fun, Sophia decides to call Josh for the last time, the phone go straight to voicemail again, she say to herself "I'll won't call him anymore".

After a couple minutes has passed she see that Josh car had appeared at the parking lot in the school yard at first she thought that Josh had showed up for her, as Sophia was about to get up to walk over his car she realize that their was a girl in the car, Sophia was so pissed off she touch sasha and show her that Josh had someone else in his car, so Sophia text Josh and say to him "this is over you think I don't see you and that other girl over by the car", as she watch him to see if he's going to read the message but he just look at his phone and put it back in his pocket as if he didn't see anything. Sasha shouted to Alexa but unfortunately she didn't hear because the music was so loud and she was busy talking to Melissa, Sophia feel broken inside she was also furious at the same time she walk over by his car and say "This is what I get from you", Josh didn't say anything he was surprised,he didn't expect Sophia to be here, Sophia argued with him for a while. The girl asked josh why that girl arguing with him don't she know who I am, Sophia say hey you what's your name, the girl replies my name is Elissa. So she asked Sophia what's her name, mines sophia after a while Elissa asked her what was her relationship with josh,she took a deep breath before she could answer then she say I'm Josh girlfriend. Elissa laugh out loud and say what now he told you he was single the first time you guys meet right, Sophia reply yes, so Elissa got so mad at Josh and say "you were cheating the whole time while I was away" got so loud she drew attention to where they were at as Sasha Alexa and Melissa see that Sophia was over there they run to get Sophia and quickly pull her from the car they ask Sophia what happened over there Sophia told them all the details, Elissa tell Josh it's over between us and walk away.

Josh feel so bad he go back in his car and drove away, while sasha Alexa and Melissa is trying to cheer up Sophia. They tell her that everything is going to be ok so just wait for the right person to come, Sophia smile and hug them so they get up and starts to dance they were all happy sasha didn't remember anything about Josh and Elissa it was 2:00 pm on the fete had finally come to a end so Sophia mom had come to take her home so Sasha was also in the car, on their way they stop at sasha house to collect some of her stuff sophia is really happy that Sasha gonna spend time with her. On the way to Sophia house Sophia mom asked "when you parents coming back and whose gonna stay at the house?". Sasha told her that her uncle is going to stay at the house while I'm gone Sophia mom replied "OK" and smile at her they have reach Sophia house now so Sasha stay in Sophia room, she unpacks her stuff and started talking the girls both have a good girls talk, Sophia mom come up the room and tell them it's getting late so you girls go to bed now, she turned off the lights and close the door both girl say goodnight, and so do Sophia mom go down stairs to her room to get some sleep herself. Sophia wrote this into her diary that night while sasha and her mom was asleep.

"I've learned something new today" said Sophia it was a good day for me and my friends we spent good times together and also bad stuff happen to Josh but I learned that shouldn't  put my  trust into a total strangers and it's best to stay single until that right person come into my life.
