"Astrid, you can buy some of these when you get there. This will only be a heavy load. I will recommend you to travel light. I will just ship the other things you'll be needing or you can buy," Mom said for like the fifth time since I let her help me pack my things.

Today is the day that I'll be away from them for a quite a long time. I'm kind of nervous, yes, but also excited to be in a new environment and to be surrounded by people I never met before or had met before, I don't know. But all I'm feeling now are a mixed emotion that I just can't explain. I only hope for one thing; may everything will be alright.

"Astrid, how about your passport and ticket?"

Meet my mom. She's always like this when it comes to preparing things. It's not like it's a bad thing, but sometimes it's kind of a pressure to me. But I still love her so much, though. I just came up to her and hugged her.

"Mom, please stop worrying. I can handle this," I spoke softly.

"Astrid, I'm sorry. I just want to make sure that everything will be alright. This will be the first time that you'll be away from us. Ugh! I'm going to miss you so much dear," she said wiping her tears.

"I'm going to miss you too mom and that's why I will call you every day," I replied, comforting her.

"My baby girl is now a grown up. Time does fly so fast that I just can't believe it."

"Astrid, you know, we can always enroll you to wherever prestige university you want here. You don't have to go," she said in a very soft voice, almost impossible to hear.

"Mom!!!!" I replied, raising my eyebrow.

"I'm just hoping if you ever change your mind. By the way, Lyndon is waiting for you in the car. He said he wants to be the one who will send you to the airport," she said with a genuine smile.

"Bye, mom. I love you," I replied and hugged her as tight as I could and gave a peck on her cheeks.

After packing my stuff, I immediately hopped in Lyndon's car. I don't want to miss my flight because if I do, I got no choice but to just follow my mom's decision as much as I hate the idea of it.

"Are you ready Astrid?" Lyndon asked after I got in his car.

"There's no turning back now," I replied.

"College might be stressful, but don't forget to have fun."

"Okay, I will Lyndon."

The drive was quite long, but it didn't take us 2 hours. I arrived at the airport on time. After helping me putting my luggage in the cart, Lyndon had to leave immediately because he still has a meeting to catch. Talk about a workaholic person. I was left alone and so I decided to go to the waiting area to wait for Harlene who was still on her way. I was busy walking when my phone rang, but I had no idea where I put it so I had to look for it in my bag. Hoping to find where that annoying phone is, I suddenly felt like I was being showered with a smoking hot water and caused me to jump in pain.

"Shit!" exclaimed the person behind my back.

I quickly faced the person who I hope 'accidentally' poured his/her coffee on me. A pair of intense blue eyes caught my attention. I can see that he really looked annoyed. Looks like I'm not the only who is covered with coffee. He also spilled his coffee on his thin white V-neck shirt which made his abs visible to my eyes.

I tried myself not to check him out so I decided to open up the conversation, but before a single word came out from my mouth, he spoke in a masculine voice, very sexy.
