This week had gone so quickly. So you want an update of how my first week went in Forest Rock? Well not much happened. I caught up on my school work, haven't talked to my mother since the day she told me she wasn't proud of who I was, and my sister got more annoying now she's made loads of new friends at school. It's Friday now. I decided after school I would go and check out the Old Amp Theatre where I'd be seeing my beloved idols in two weeks time.
I got up from my bed, and took a shower. I let the hot water run over my body as I thought about what my plan would be when I have to make a run for the show. Well, more fantasizing really. I get a kick out of doing stuff I shouldn't, bad I know. Maybe I would just tell my mum, she wouldn't mind so much if it was in the town we lived in.. Or I wouldn't, and I would just tell her I'm meeting with a new friend.. Either way, I'm going and there's nothing she can do about it. I threw on a Gn'Rs tank which I'd ripped nicely, and some black leggings and my black Dr Martens, dried and straightened my hair and added some eyeliner. I made my way downstairs to make some coffee.
"Morning" my dad mumbled with the paper in one hand and coffee in the other. He quickly brought his eyes up to look over the top of his glasses, then back to the newspaper.
I mumbled quietly, and grabbed some coffee and a bagel and sat on the front porch steps overlooking the trees and lake. The smell of food attracted quite a few birds, so I just broke the bagel up into pieces and fed them instead of myself.
I'd learnt quite a few shortcuts to school so it didn't take me long at all anymore. I had double art, and music today, then I was able to leave.
Mrs Belle, my art teacher was nice. My most recent assignment was a four page study on my interests. No matter how out there my art work is, Mrs Belle always understands. I see art as a form of escaping. Nobody has to understand, it could be squiggles that mean something to you, but nothing to anybody else.
I had already made a start on mine. I had drawn a stitched up heart in the middle of the first page, and used water colours to make it look a bit stressed and splattered. I'd put a padlock around the heart pulling it in tight. In the top right and bottom left, I had sketched two pictures of two of my inspirations. One, Andy Biersack, and two, Chris Motionless. I'd made various other sketches when the bell rang. My art classes always go too quickly.
Music was basically a free for all. This school is so chilled out compared to my old school. My old school I got made to play keyboard, which is okay, but I had no other choice. Crappy pieces I didn't care about. I never got to write music, or pick up a guitar, or even bring in my guitar. I threw down my bag next to a seat by the window and picked up the black guitar I had been using. I rummaged around for my notebook and flicked it open.
(a/n - let's pretend most of the lyrics i use in this story haven't already been written, and have been written by blaze. i would create my own for this story but im no good at it >.< seriously)
"Paint yourself a picture,
Of what you wish you looked like,
Maybe then they just might,
Feel an ounce of your pain.
Come into focus,
Step out of the shadows,
It's a losing battle,
There's no need to feel ashamed"
I sung quietly so nobody could hear me. That's all I had. I wanted this to be deep so when I sung it, it was raw emotion. Just those few lyrics had taken me a few months to get down. I put down the instrument and pulled my legs up to my chest, slightly lifting up my leggings to see healed razer wounds. I'd used my legs instead of my arms so my family didn't find out. I quickly slipped my leggings down when I felt a rush of air and a body sat down beside me. I looked up to see a male with styled black hair, a nose ring and dark brown eyes. He said nothing, he just smiled, and buried his head back in the book in his hand. The bell sounded, and I threw my bag over my shoulder and left the school.
As I was walking through the beaten path through the trees, I had my phone pulled out with a map of Forest Rock. I'd reached a big opening with beautiful blossom trees and a fountain, with buildings scattered around. The bustle of cars, and buses all around. Finally, life! It didn't seem like it could be possible with the still life that surrounded my house and school.
I walked around the town, until I came to a large, gothic like building with stained glass windows and small little lights emphasizing the entrance.
"This must be it" I muttered to myself as I admired the view. It was somewhat pretty in a way.
I walked through the entrance into a huge room, with balconys and a gigantic stage at the back. There was a bar, and a board with pictures to my left. I walked over, and shined my phone on the board as the lights were switched off. There was articles from newspapers pinned up, and pictures of shows and bands. I gasped as I saw familiar faces; some of my idols!
"Get out! How is this even possible. It's so quiet here" I contemplated to myself as I recognised the faces of Austin Carlile, Ash Costello and Jacky Vincent.
I shone the light to the left and gasped even louder.
"Andy Biersack, front man of Black Veil Brides, returns to his Forest Rock home to play the long awaited and biggest anticipated show of their latest tour. Although not quite sold out, it's expected to be quite the show. Andy says he's missing home and can't wait to see his family and friends. Well, maybe the hustle and bustle of the big cities is taking it's toll and it's time for mummas home cooked meals eh Andy?!" I laughed a little as I spotted a picture of him and the band posing next to the fountain I saw.
Just then, I heard a loud snap and lights filled the theatre. I only had seconds to glance around before a man with black mohawk, and a steampunk kind of appearance trundled over.
"You shouldn't be in here. We're not open yet, try in a few hours" he spoke.
"It's okay, I'm new here. I was just looking around" I smiled.
"Well let's not try and get into trouble so soon after your move then huh" he returned the smile, and creeped behind the bar silently.
I slowly made my way home, thinking about what I saw on the board in the theatre. I couldn't believe I was living in the town Andy grew up in. I wonder where his parents live? Do I go to the school he once did? Did Mrs Belle teach him music?
By the time I'd gotten home it was about 8pm, my mother had left me dinner but I wasn't hungry after my exploring. I just trudged up to my room, locked the door and launched myself onto my bed. Not long after I'd gone to dreamland.
---> Blossom trees and fountain where Black Veil Brides photo was taken. All pictures are just taken off Google, so I have no idea where these places are but they prettyyy *.*
