"It has been a long time since we been friends... we met when we were babies and you were adorable back then." Trunks said as his lavender hair blew, I smiled slightly at his comment. "Sure has been... I can't believe that we're already 18. What's more is that we are the same age at the same day!" I exclaimed.
Trunks chuckled and got out a small box, "Happy birthday Ouki." he said. "You didn't need to." I replied while hitting him in the shoulder playfully, but nevertheless I took the box and opened it. Inside, it had a small earrings that was to my liking. "Trunks..."
"We take turns giving present to each other every year." He grinned as he stood up and stretched his hand to me, I grabbed his hand and stood up, dusting myself. "Thanks."
We were spending our time on a cliff, we would come here every year on the same day to celebrate our own birthdays. Bringing a cake of course."Hope today was special." He smiled as we flew, "It was. Do you still have the bracelet that I gave last year?" I asked suspiciously. "Yeah. Here's the proof." He folded his long sleeve, revealing the bracelet I gave him last year. "Good."
Truth is, I made that bracelet with mom two months before our birthday. It turned out ugly but I'm thankful that Trunks is wearing it. "So... how was school...?" We asked at the same time, turning our awkwardness into laughter. "Good. You?" I asked.
"It was terrible... not only did our teacher gave us tons of homework... but they said there was a quiz tomorrow. For the day!" He shouted as I giggled, "That's good. After all, you really need to get smarter." I teased.
He fumed but sighed out loud, "I hope Dad didn't made a mess out of the house. Remember two years ago? Where my Dad messed up the whole house trying to bake a cake for us?" he asked as we laughed. "Yeah. Bulma was so angry that even Vegeta had to kneel down before her."
"Your Dad still haven't returned right...?" He asked, making me stop in my track. "Yeah..." I replied, looking down at the calm sea below us. "When he left 8 years ago... without a word or explanation... we didn't know what to do. This was our Dad. He was only by my side for ten years..." I gulped and continued to fly, but alongside Trunks.
"He said to me when I was three. He wanted to get even stronger. Beyond Super Saiyan Three. Beyond his limit. He wanted to get even stronger..." I finished, "But... that's not going to drag me down. It our birthday today. Let's enjoy it." I smiled.
"How about a race? Who ever reaches home the fastest, the loser have to do the winners laundry for a whole month." Trunks suggested, I clicked my tongue. "Ready... set go!" I shouted as I flew faster, raising my ki.
"I hope my father come back soon. I miss him." I said to Trunks as he flew towards me, "Hey. Don't worry. I'm here." he smiled. I been with Trunks as my mother had to go back to my grandfather to help him since he was sick.
"I hope ox-king is fine." Trunks said as he read me, I giggled as I sped up and gliding through the sky as I enjoyed myself right now.
He chuckled as he slowed down, "I can see our house already. You're going to lose Trunks." I said while flying downwards. He shrugged his shoulder as he took his time coming down, by the time he reached, I was already by the door, waiting patiently for him.
"You are late." I said while flicking his forehead, "I just realised... you're shorter than me..." he said while entering. I fumed, "What are you saying?!" I shouted to him as he laughed and plopped himself down on the couch. "Nothing specifically."
"Are you sure?" I asked as I leaned in closer to his face, checking for any lies. His lavender eyes was drawing me in so I pulled myself away, "Bulma! Is the cake ready?" I asked while running to the kitchen, seeing if I can be of any use.
