October 20
"Oh, this one looks good." I mumbled to myself. I was scrolling through a bunch of flat prices on my laptop, doing some research for my move up to London. I'd found a couple of good ones so far, but this one is the best yet.
"Not far from here, the pricing isn't bad, it's in a good neighborhood..." Just then, I heard my door open, and Dan came barging in. I looked up from my computer screen and shot Dan a meaningful look, and he said,
"Oh, crap. Sorry, let's try that again." He backed out of my room and then closed the door. A few seconds later, he knocked on the door and yelled,
"Thalia, may I come in?" I laughed and said,
"Yeah, come in." Dan entered, closing the door gently behind him.
"What'cha doing?" He asked. I looked at the flats up on the screen if my Mac, and I decided that Dan didn't need to know quite yet. I purposely slammed my laptop shut and let it slide off my lap and onto my bed. Dan jumped, so high he almost fell off of my bed.
"Jeez, what was that for?" Dan asked, placing a hand over his heart. I just smiled, laughing a little as I said,
"Now you know how it feels." I let the meaning of that sink in, and I saw an accepting look on Dan's face.
"Fair enough. Anyway, you probably know that Phil left, but I just wanted to let you know that I'm leaving as well, for a little bit." I cocked my head to the right and waited for him to explain. Dan took the hint and kept talking.
"Well, Phil went out to replace my cereal, and I'm going out to... Do a little shopping." I sensed that Dan was going to continue to be all secretive, so I let is slide. We exchanged a goodbye and I waved him off.
Just as I heard the door close, my phone rang. Looking at the glowing screen, I saw PJ's contact pop up. I smiled at the impeccable timing and I accepted the call.
"Hello, PJ."
"Thalia! Thalia, have you ever thought about that fact that maybe we're the aliens?"

*Small Time Skip, Phil's POV*
I walked into the house, weighed down with Dan's single box of cereal and many other unnecessary things. I shouldn't be allowed to shop by myself- I'm the type of person that will go into a store with one thing on my list leave the store with everything but what I needed.
I dropped everything in the kitchen and put the food away. I walked into the hallway, and I was headed toward my room when I heard someone speaking. I knew Dan was out, as he told me he was going somewhere, so I knew it had to be Thalia. I walked quietly up to her room door and heard her laughing and talking. By the sound of her conversation, she was talking to an old friend. I stood for longer than I probably should have, listening to one end of the conversation. I didn't mean to, it just kind of... Happened.
Just then, the door opened and Thalia jumped back at the sight of me. She held the phone away from her ear, but then spoke into it quickly.
"One second, PJ." My jaw dropped. She'd been talking to PJ? They sounded like they were either best friends or in love... And either is more than plausible.
"Philip, can I help you?" Thalia asked, a hand on her hip. She sounded slightly angry with me, and it suddenly struck me that I probably looked like I'd been eavesdropping. Which, in retrospect, I kind of was. I didn't respond to her question, so she sighed and brushed past me, talking to PJ much more quietly now than before as she sauntered down the hallway. I stood dumbfounded, rooted in the same place as when she'd opened the door.
