All he did was get up, walk over to the bar, write down something on a piece of paper, and walk out the room. What was wrong with this guy? I needed to find out more about him. I walked over to the bar table, and grabbed the paper.

He wrote his number down. Wow, he really thinks I'm just going to easily call him. Nah. I stuffed the paper in my bra and walked over to my boss' office, again.

I busted into his office and caught him making out with some random chick. Ugh, some of these girls have no respect for themselves.

"My bad. I just wanted to ask you something real quick.", I said leaning on the door frame.

"Damn, what is it Lily?"

I rolled my eyes, "Do you know who that guy was in the private room?"

He shook his head no, "Naw, but he did leave you something on his way out."

I scrunched my eyebrows, "He did?"

"Yeah", he took out a small envelope from inside his desk drawer. "By the way, I didn't open it. So, just in case you thought I did, I didn't."

"Oh alright."

I slowly walked out and closed the door behind me. I was smart enough to not open the envelope here, so I quickly got dressed and raced to my car. As I sat in my car that was in the parking lot, I locked all my car doors, and looked around to make sure no one was around. Even though it was dark and I can barely see, I still made sure to look. I looked on the front of the envelope and it said "D".

I was guessing that was his name. I opened it up, and gasped in shock. It was a huge stack of money. I covered my mouth and stared off into space. I was really confused at that moment. Why did he give me so much money? I snapped back into reality and drove home. When I get home, I'm going to count how much it is.

I drove down the highway and took the next exit. The ride from the strip club to my house was about 30 minutes long. I turned into my driveway and parked my car. My house is not big like a mansion, but it isn't small either. It's just right. I don't live with myself though. I live with my best friend Karmen. We have been best friends since junior high and we have been going strong.

I unlocked the front door and took my shoes off at the doorway.

"Karmen", I yelled to see if she is home.

"Yeah, I'm in the kitchen."

I walked into the kitchen and saw her cooking. I kissed her on her cheek and leaned my chin on her shoulder.

"Watcha cooking?", I said in a baby voice.

"Chicken stir fry. Something simple for tonight."

Karman was the best cook ever. I think she was a better cook than my mom. I love her to death because she has always been there for me. She holds me down through thick and thin and I do the same for her.

I sat on the counter and pulled out the envelope. As she was putting out food on the plates, she glanced at the envelope.

"What's in the envelope?", she said.

I started picking with my nails, "Oh, some guy at the strip club asked Rickie if I can give him a lap dance in the private room. Even though I don't do those except for Mondays and Fridays, but we need the money. So I gave him the lapdance, but he was quiet the whole time. I was tired of his quietness so I got up. Then he got up and wrote his number down, then walked out. On his way out, he gave Rickie an envelope full of money in it for me."

"Have you seen this guy before?"

I shook my head, "Naw. But he is obviously a regular because he knows my name."

Karmen picked up the envelope and then opened it. She almost choked on her food when she saw how much was in there.

I laughed at her, "That's the same look I had on my face when I saw the money too. And also, I need you to help me count the money."

She nodded her head and we kept on eating.
