A Forbidden Love

Chapter 1

They sat there in the cleaning supplies room, afraid what would happen next. Jasmine put on the uniform but Abigail just stayed in her maid's uniform. Jasmine was still unsure why she had wanted to go so badly. Was it to get away from Brundun? Or was it that she had found something so enchanting about the life of a pirate? Or maybe it was how she felt ever-so-slightly drawn to the mysterious Blackbeard. Then all of a sudden the supplies room door slammed open. 

"What in the name of Queen Taylor are ye doing in here?" Shouted their first mate Jacey. "Get ye butts out o' here and swab the deck you landlubbers!" She said handing them a mop and bucket. 

"JACEY! What are ye doing standing there, and who are ye talking to?" Said Blackbeard as he stomped over and leaned on the door frame. Standing so close to him Jasmine felt even smaller now than she did when they first met. 

Jacey quickly replied, "'Elling the new mateys to get off their lazy behinds and swab the deck!" Blackbeard looked over at Abigail and she started to pound one fist into the other. Looking confused and slightly scared he changed his view to Jasmine. Jasmine had been staring at him so when he looked at her she started to tense up and blush, when Blackbeard saw that she was he started to blush also. Jacey hurriedly rushed Blackbeard out of the closet. As she went she turned her head over her shoulder and sent a wink Jasmine and Abby's way. She put one finger over her lips, and the mimed locking them with a key.

 Confused and curious Backbeard turned around and forced against Jacey's grip and said "Eye, weren't ye the girl who was in our way at the dock?" He said inching closer as to see her face better. Jasmine started to blush profusely and when Blackbeard saw he smiled in triumph continuing to look deeply into her eyes. He now knew for sure that it was her.

 Abigail and Jacey just stood there looking at both of them finally Abigail said "Ok, we will just leave you two alone." As she said this she grabbed the reluctant Jacey by the wrist and pulled her away,t from the supplies room. That left Blackbeard and Jasmine there staring awkwardly into each other's eyes. Blackbeard looked ready to say something when Mary Read barged in. 

"Blackbeard what ye doing just standing there? Madame, Bonny, and me 're going to discuss plans f'r our next raid." Said Mary Read as she walked toward where Blackbeard was standing. When he heard her he spun around blocking Jasmine from Mary's view, knowing that she would get kicked off the ship whether they were docked or not.

 "Let me guess, Madame wants to raid the Pirates from that Caribbean place, right?" He said. 

"You know she wants to meet that pirate, Who was it? Jack Sparrow?" Mary said turning around and walking back to the cabins. As soon as she was gone Blackbeard spun around and looked at Jasmine again. 

"If ye want to live then ye have to do exactly as i say to, do hear me?" He said as Jasmine nodded in agreeance. "Good, go to the captain's quarters and stay there until I come and get you." He said as he pushed her toward the captain's quarters. 

"Thank you." Jasmine said as she ran down the hall. Hearing her say that made Blackbeard smile. And with that, Blackbeard stormed toward the cabins. After a short while Jasmine heard loud footsteps walking toward the room she was hiding in. She hid behind the desk just in case it was Madame, Bonny, or Mary. Blackbeard walked into the room and closed the door.

 "Are ye in here ye prairypigion?" He said looking around the room. 

"Here i am!" Jasmine said as she popped up so suddenly that Blackbeard fell back a foot or two in surprise. 

"Enough with this small chat, why are you on me ship?" He said walking and placing his palms on the desk and leaning toward Jasmine.

 "My parents set me up into an arranged marriage with a guy i can't stand to be in the same room with, but that's not a very good excuse." Jasmine said staring down at her hands that were also placed on the table.

 "What is the landlubbers name?" Blackbeard said sitting down in the guest chairs that were placed in front of the desk. 

"His name was Brunden Lamberton." Jasmine said as she stared even more toward the ground trying to avoid eye contact with Blackbeard as much as possible when all of a sudden.

 "MARY, MADAME, BONNY. CAPTAIN'S QUARTERS NOW!!!!!!" Blackbeard shouted at the top of his voice. Within seconds all three girls were standing just outside of the door. 

"This be Jasmine. She has a man problem that involves Bunden Lamberton," he said then he turned around and looked at Jasmine, "These three have been deceived by the same scum bag that be after your heart." As he said that he poked Jasmine where her heart was sending a rush of something strange through her body. She had never felt this way when anybody had touched her before, but this tall burly man in front of her was not anybody she had ever met in her life or maybe ever will meet. Then she started to realize what this feeling ment. She had only heard about this sort of thing in fairy tales that her mom used to tell her. She was experiencing love at first sight. A sense of panic rushed through her. How could she be falling in love with this tall, bearded man? She started to blush, which made Blackbeard quickly take his hand away from her chest, and also start to blush even more than she was. Madame Ching walked forward and grabbed Blackbeard's collar and dragged him out of the room. 

"What was that for?" Blackbeard said when he wasn't in earshot of the room that Jasmine sat awkwardly in trying to sort out her feelings.

 "I saw the way you looked at her! Ye will NOT be falling in love with that prissy princess. All that ye are doing is killing Mary and Anne! Ye know they love ye and ye will fall in love with them or i will cut ye fingers off one by one! Do you understand me?" Madame said waving her sword so close to Blackbeard's face that it was centimeters away from poking his nose.

 "What are ye talking about?" Blackbeard said moving the sword away from his face

 "Ye know what I mean!" Madame said as she re-positioned the sword back in front of his face. Blackbeard rolled his eyes and pushed the sword out of his face once again and walked back to the captain's quarters. Madame reluctantly followed as she put her sword back into its holster. 

"I can't believe that scumbag is attempting to marry another girl! He sure has is coming this time. We shall dangle him by his feet over the sharks!" Mary said slowly pounding one fist into the other.

 "There be no need for that." Blackbeard said ending the violent conversation. He walked into the room quickly followed by Madame as she violently shoved the other two girls out of the way. 

"Please, if i can i would love to stay here along with you guys. I will do anything you ask of me. I just don't want to have to go back and face my parents after i betrayed them like that." Jasmine said her voice very faint yet still loud enough that everybody could hear it. She sounded desperate. So desperate in fact that Anne Bonny and Mary Reed walked over and gave her a comforting hug. Something that she had not felt in a very long time. After her elder brother left to study abroad in France, her parents seem to be getting more and more distant by each passing moment.

 "And if you don't want to let me stay here, which i understand if you do, could you please drop me off in France? My brother is there and i haven't seen him in over three years." Jasmine said. The girls and Blackbeard all looked at each other hoping they wouldn't have to answer the question by themselves.

 "I suppose that we might be able to let ye stay," Blackbeard finally squeaked out after a long and awkward pause, "under one condition. Ye must help Jacey with all her chores, navigate the best possible route to the China seas, and ye must walk, talk, and live the pirate way. Ye got that?" He said leaning against the desk as he did before. 

"Yeah," Jasmine said but she looked back at Anne Bonny and saw her shaking her head, "Yes sir?" she changed her answer but Anne was still shaking her head, "Aye, captain?" Anne nodded yes. 

"Ye will start ye work tomorrow, but f'r tonight ye can get settled. Jacey will show ye to y'r room." Blackbeard said as he turned around and walked out of the room. Jasmine sighed in relief as she had thought she would have gotten thrown off the ship. She wandered the ship until she found Jacey and Abigail feeding the sharks with old fish remains. Jasmine told them what had happened and Jacey lead the two of them to the sleeping quarters.
