Before I could even get in the pool it started raining. Everyone immediately rushed out of the pool and into their cars. Luckily my mom was right down the street so all I had to do was call her.

"But the forecast said it'd be a sunny day though." Diane said with a whiney voice. "Apparently they lied." Cindy said with a slight laugh.

"Ugh, you all barely got to swim." My mom said when she pulled up. "Well yeah but its OK, we can all just go back to our house and have a sleepover and go to the cabin in the morning I guess" "Sounds fun!" Cindy said.

We barely got into the driveway before it started thunderstorming. We ran to the door and hurried up and unlocked it. We rushed inside soaking wet and left a trail of wet footprints on the floor. "Sorry aunt Madison, I'll clean it up." Diane said. "It's fine, I'll do it."

While my mom was cleaning up the footprints, me, Cindy, and Diane were just on our phones, neglecting one another. Cindy was texting her sister, Diane was texting her friend, and I was texting Christopher. He seemed upset about something.

"I broke up with Jade," He said. I was happy but then again confused because I thought he really liked her, I guess I was wrong. "Are you OK? Did she cheat on you or something?" I asked a lot of questions because I didn't know why they broke up in the first place. "No she didn't do anything wrong it's just... Heather can I tell you something?" "Sure you can. You can tell me anything." I said enthusiastically. I thought he was going to tell me that he liked me, I thought way wrong. "I'm gay..."

I was speechless. I dropped my phone and was just staring into space. When Cindy stopped looking at her phone she asked "What's wrong?" "Um, Christopher just told me that he's gay."I told her. She was surprised too. He didn't act gay at all. He dated plenty of girls, although that doesn't mean your not gay.

When I snapped out of it I texted Christopher back and told him the basic stuff a friend tells another when they come out. Like "it's going to be OK, your parents will love you just the way you are" just stuff like that. I turned my phone off and suggested we all played monopoly.

I yelled to my mom and dad to play. They said sure but I was the one that had to go up into the attic to get it. I ran to the attic to get the game but while I was up there I heard some strange creaking noises. They felt closer and closer as I got further into the attic. I didn't really pay attention to the sounds because it was an attic, it's supposed to creak...Right?

When I got out the attic, I walked back downstairs and opened the game. We hadn't played it in a while. Everything had dust on it including the game cards.

Everyone had a great time playing. It was quality family time---and it took my mind off of Christopher.

When it was 11:00 I got tired all of a sudden. So all of us headed upstairs to bed. Me and Cindy slept in my room since Diane was in the guest room. We stayed up for about twenty more minutes then we went to sleep.

In the middle of the night, Diane came into my room asking if she could stay in there. "Why do you want to sleep in here?" I said with a tired voice. "I had a nightmare. I know I'm too old to get scared but I felt like something was there. If you don't want me to stay in here it's OK though..." "Come on" I said.

As soon as I woke up I yawned. My hair was messy, lips were cracked, and I and my stomach was growling. It felt like I haven't eaten in a week. "Get up Cindy and Diane!" I said. They were already awake and in the kitchen waiting on me. Mom and dad weren't awake yet so we just ate cereal.

I was finished with my cereal within five minutes. "I was starving." "We can see that." Cindy replied. I noticed that Diane seemed really tired. It was almost like she was going to fall face first into her cereal. "You okay?" I asked. "Yeah I'm fine I'm just tired. That nightmare had me up all night. I'm going to go get ready now."

Me and Cindy sat there for a while then we realized we'd better get ready too. We woke my parents up so they could pack and stuff.

It didn't take us long to get ready.  Maybe about an hour. As soon as everyone was packed, we put all our suitcases in the car and drove off to Cindy's house.

It took Diane about five minutes to go to sleep. Her face is so calm when she's sleeping. Although, she snores, A lot. That's all everyone heard for as long as we were in the car.

As soon as we arrived at Cindy's house Diane woke up. "Are we there?"
"No, we had to let Cindy pack first. Come on, get out the car." We all walked up to the door step and rang the doorbell. "Robert! It's nice to see you!" My dad said. "It's nice to see you too. Please, come inside." Her dad said with a smile.

Her dad was so nice. While our parents talked I went upstairs with her to start packing. Diane sat there looking bored trying her best not to fall asleep.

"So, you're telling me you haven't even started?" I say annoyed. "Yep, it was kind of last minute."
"Well then, let's gets started."

We were up there packing her stuff for about 45 minutes. "We're done!" I yell from up the steps. "Finally." Everyone said in unison. Diane yawned and walked towards the door.

"It was nice seeing you Mike." Mr. Robert said. "You too Robert. We should do this again." Mom said. Cindy hugged her dad before we left out the door. He waved goodbye as we pulled out the driveway.

A/N: even though no one reads these I'm sorry for the chapter delay. I accidentally deleted a part of this chapter and got annoyed so I just stopped. Oh and this part isn't as excited it's just the part before the actual exciting part. The next chapter should be better😊
