Remington's wings were all Jaxx could see as he flew onto the balcony. The moon illuminated his body, his light wings standing out against the darkness."What do you want?"
"You need to listen when she gets here tomorrow. She wants to help the fairies, and the people of the castle."
"How would she help them." Jaxx laughed.
"She wants us to work together. She wants things to be like they were when your father was king."
"Then maybe she shouldn't have killed him."
"She didn't!' Remington defended.
"She did, she didn't go back for him." Jaxx insisted.
"No, she didn't," Remington looked him in the eyes. "I did. But he was already dead. She tried her best, but she couldn't hold him."
"She dropped him?"
"And she dropped herself. She blacked out from pain. She gave it all she had Jaxx, to save your father."
Tears fell from Jaxx's chin, "listen to her. How we're living, it's not what your father would want."
Remington lifted his wings and flew away. Jaxx knew he was right, King Ivan wanted all life to live in peace, and it wasn't how things had been recently. Jaxx had taken the magic away from many forests, he kept anything that wasn't human away from the castle. Maybe it was time for peace to be brought back.
