Chapter Eight - Why..

I close my eyes tightly, trying to pretend this situation is not real. When I go to open my eyes everything is dimmer than it had just been. I slowly open the shower curtain, as I get out I grab the towel off the counter that I had put there earlier. I slowly open the door, I walk out into the living room and notice everything is normal. I look out the window and notice all of the snow is gone. What is happening? I run out to my car since I had actually brought myself a change of clothes. As soon as I finish changing and step out of my car, I notice I'm not in front of Mark's house anymore. I look around and I feel my heart start to race, as I start to walk in one direction everything starts to shake. I look out into the darkness toward a light post and notice Mark standing by the light, As I walk toward him I notice Dark walk up behind him. Dark starts to point a gun at Mark's head, as Mark looks at him he then turns around facing his back toward Dark. Mark closes his eyes, I watch as Dark smirks. He pulls the trigger.

"NO!!" I scream as I start to run toward Dark, as I get closer to him I get stopped by an invisible wall. "Dark, No!"

Dark looks over towards me, tears falling down his face as he smiles at me. "I'm sorry (Y/N)" He says as he then points then gun at his own head. 

"NO!" I scream as loud as I possibly can.

Suddenly, I sit up in Mark's bed. I'm breathing heavily, my chest has never hurt so badly. Dark comes over petting my hair out of my face, he looks do worried about me. 

"Hush now, you were having a nightmare" he says as he sits down next to me, he pulls up the blanket towards my chin. I pull it tightly close to me as I notice I am completely nude. 

He laughs a bit. "I'm sorry, I got worried because i tried to talk to you while you were in the shower but you wouldn't respond to me. So I went in the bathroom and you had fallen asleep and you were under water so, I brought you out here" He says as he puts on a awkward half smile. He looks as if he's scared that I'd be mad at him. 

More like I'm the one who's embarrassed. I thought the only man who would ever see me naked would be the guy I'd one day marry. Dark hands me a pair of skinny jeans that are a plain light blue washed design.

"Put those on along with your underwear and such that Sean washed for you, I left them on the table next to the bed. I grabbed one of my shirts from Mark's closet, It's a darker style compared to what you've seen Mark in so.. hope you don't mind. Or, would you rather wear one of Mark's shirts?" He asks as he looks at me with a raised eyebrow. 

I smile at me and laugh a little holding up the jeans, "Anything's fine".

He stands up and looks through Mark's closet, I quickly put on my underwear and bra. As he starts turning around I'm putting on the jeans he got for me. I watch him as his face turns a bright red. He covers his face with a black and white flannel shirt and a white tank top.

"Uh, they suit you" he says as he hands me the shirts. 

I slip on the tank top which is way too big for me, I then put on the flannel over top. I look up at him, he has his hand over his mouth as he looks at me. "Wow, seeing you in my shirt kind of is making my heart race" As soon as he says that his eyes widen and he rushes out of the room almost tripping over his own feet. 

Dark really has a cute sweet side to him, and I'm kind of glad that I'm the only one he shows it to. I look back down at the table that he left my underwear and notice my phone sitting there. I pick it up and I notice I have ten missed calls from my boss, and 7 missed calls from my mom. I ignore the calls from my boss and immediately call my mom.

*Over the phone*

'(Y/N)! Why haven't you been anwsering my calls?!" Mom asks frantically, I could hear the concern in her voice.
