Louis sits stunned for a moment by the apparition of this strange man. He still sits up on the couch, legs up panting, assessing his situation.
His eyes dart to the glass on the coffee table and then back to the man. He lunges for it, raising it up before the man shout
"Hey hey hey!" He says, standing and holding his hands up
"I'm not here to hurt you, I'm just checking on you, I though I was rude yesterday so I came back!" He says and Louis let's out a strangled laugh, dropping the cup to his side
"Yesterday was rude? You broke into my house man!" He says and the other guy blushes
"I apologize" he says "I didn't mean to upset you, I can leave if you'd prefer" he continues
Louis places the glass on the coffee table and sits down.
"N-no it's fine, I'd like you to explain what happened... please" he says rubbing his forehead.
The man nods, tilting his head to the side, thinking for a moment before starting.
"I suppose i should start with my name" he mutters
"I'm Harry, though I've already said that" he says extending a hand. Louis leans forward and shakes it, a small, not all together unpleasant jolt passing into his hands and scampering up his arm
"Louis, but you seem to already know that" Louis greets
"Yes, I do." Harry responds
"W-what were those things chasing me? Why could only I hear them? They seemed almost to flicker in and out of existence" Louis shudders as he speaks, rubbing his hands together then rubbing them on his thighs
"Those were hellhounds, sent by someone who seems not to like you particularity"
"Hellhounds? Like in supernatural?" Louis says, remembering the show all of his sister and Liam watch.
"Supernatural? You mean the television series?" Harry responds and Louis nods
"Well I suppose. You have always been one of my favourite, so when i seen you were in danger I could not stand idle, I had to intervene" Harry says
"One of your favourites?" Louis asks and Harry nods gently, slowly
"What does that mean?" Louis says, trying to get the man to elaborate on his previous statement
"Louis I am billions of years old, created when the universe first formed, I watched the dinosaurs rise and fall, watched the rise of man through all its ups and downs, I have seen and taken part in all the major events in history" Harry says, not entirely answering his question.
"Harry..." Louis asks cautiously "what are you?"
"I am an angel of guidance, and of protection" Harry responds somewhat proudly, confidently.
Louis gapes, this was an Angel? He was talking to an Angel? He could think of no other way to explain the stranger goings on he had experienced recently. Louis had never been particularity religious, so that raised a whole host of questions.
"So if Angels are real does that mean...." Louis asked not sure of the answer he wanted
"No. There is no one true God per say, but humans gained the concept of higher powers from us, there are lots of angels, and we each represent a different god, I, for example represent Uranus, god of the night sky." Harry interprets
"So there must be thousands of you" Louis responds, awestruck
"Yes, there are many of us" Harry says "we all reside in Elysium though, a version of heaven first thought of by the Greek people of long ago."
