Emelina and Jackie went to Washington DC to meet up with Evan while having vacation two weeks while their daughter was with Elijah, at home in San Diego.
When evan came up to Washington he would meet the head of the CIA and America's president. They had decided to give him a reward for everything that he did out in Afghanistan. He was escorted to the White House by Sam and the other soldiers he was travelling with from Afghanistan.
When Evan was talking to the President, and all others in the Oval Office, he was told that he would receive the Medal of honor and the Purple heart. After a few hours they talked about what kind of reward Evan would get. Samuel Lang added up all the things that Evan helped them with and the President became amazement. He decided to give Evan 50 million dollars for all classified papers that he found and 30 million dollars for killing the General. Evan where startled and tried to deny the money and said he only did it for his country, but the President insisted and eventually Evan gave up and received the money. He got the medals and money by the President and all those present and thanked them deeply before he went off like a millionaire.
He walked out of the White House and was astonished to see his girlfriend and her cousin standing there in front of him with wide smiles, Emelina wept tears of joy and ran towards him. Evan caught her up when she jumped up in his lap to cuddle her beloved boyfriend. He told them about what had happened over there in Afghanistan and Emelina was overjoyed that he still lived. Jackie decided to go home to San Diego while Evan and Emelina remained in Washington on vacation for two weeks. They decided to go and check out the sunset on a high Hill. They had bought a picnic rug, strawberries, chocolate, wine glasses and rosé. Emelina wondered where he had received the money from but he replied only that it was a small salary for his two years in Afghanistan. When they had cuddled and had their picnic until the SUN WAS nearly gone Evan was standing up and goes off to the treenext to them. Emelina feel worried and was also standing up. Evan hears that and says, ' when a man are that close to death as I was over there they often thinkt of everything they always wanted but never received. Of everything that i have ever wanted i couldn't think of anything else other than this that I hold in my hand. " Emelina looked at her boyfriend with worried eyes and wondered what he was doing. Evan turns around with red cheeks and tears in his eyes. Evan smiled in a manner that Em had'nt seen in a really long time, Emelina rememberd that warm cuddly smile he had the first time they talked. Evan went down on her knees and her heart stopped. Was it possible? Would he do what she thought he would? Evan took out a box with a shiny ring inside and said the words: "Emelina Quinn, you are the only, correct girl for me, I love every single molecule of you, so now I ask you, would you ever marry a guy like me?"
The sun vanished and it got dark.
