"Hey Parker!!" John yells.

"Hey! What's up little bro? I see you got a girl with you." Parker winks.

"She's one of the new students that has powers!" John says.

"AH." Parker says. "What's your name?"

"Jenny." I say

"And your power?"

"I can see people's future by touching them. It comes with---"

"It's really cool I wanted her to do it to you." John interrupts me.

"You were saying something when my little brother rudely interrupted you, Jenny." Parker says looking pointedly at his brother. Johns face goes red.

"It comes with some scary side effects. I tend to pass out when I touch someone carelessly or when I am trying to see their future." I explain.

"Ah. I see. Are you still willing to let me be your test subject, for my brother's amusement?" Parker asks gently.

I nod.

"Okay. Lay your hands on me! See my future and what awaits me on the other side!!!!" Parker proclaims dramatically.

I reach my hand out. Parker is wearing an orange sleeveless workout shirt. I touch his bear arm. We stand there for a moment. I start swaying on my feet. Black spots cloud my vision, I'm really dizzy. Everything is spinning. this was a bad idea. I think.

And then. Everything goes black.

----

I am floating above a room. Parker's room. He is laying  on his bed reading a comic book. I'm not sure what of, but he seems to enjoy it. All of a sudden, the room starts shaking. Slightly at first but then it erupts into a bone-jarring tremble. "Parker!!" I hear someone shout. Just then, part of the ceiling collapses on Parker's legs. "AAAAAAGGHHHHH!!!!" he screams. Then, just as suddenly as the earthquake had started, it stopped. "MOM!!" Parker screams. His mother comes running in, and once she sees what the situation is, she calls for John. John comes running into his big brother's room. Together, John and his mom try to pull the piece of ceiling off of Parker's legs. But that just makes him scream more. Pushing results in the same thing. Finally, John says, "We are gonna have to lift it off of him."   John and his mom struggle for ten minutes to remove the ceiling piece from Parker's legs. "Okay, mom. Go call 9-1-1. I'm gonna try to stabilize Parker, and stop the bleeding!" His mom runs out of the room.

----

Parker is rolling around in a wheelchair when he runs into another wheelchair. "I'm so sorry!"  Parker says. A beautiful woman wheels around to face Parker. "It's okay." she says in an airy tone. "I'm Sally."  "I'm Parker."

----

*Ding Ding Ding Ding* Wedding bells toll. The doors to the church fly open and out wheel Parker and Sally, rice being thrown into their hair. And, there. There I am, standing hand in hand with John.

----

Before I have any time to wonder why I am standing  at Parker's wedding holding his brother's hand, I am ripped out of the trance, as Viki calls it.

"Huhhnhnhnh..." I say groggilly.

"Jenny! Oh Mi GOD! You're ALIVE!! I thought you had DIED! That scared me! Don't EVER do that AGAIN!!" John is practically screaming in my face.

"Jenny, are you okay?" Parker asks me.

"Yeah. Let me sit up."

"Oh No! I don't think so! You are staying right where you are!" John says.

"John, I think your friend knows her body better than you do. You just met her!" Parker says, helping me sit up. "Does that---?"

"Yeah. That always happens. I can't control it. That's why I don't really try to see people's futures anymore."

"Can you see your own future??" John asks.

"Nope. Never have been able to." I say.
