"I go crazy 'cause here isn't where I wanna be and satisfaction feels like a distant memory"

R U Mine, Arctic Monkeys

Despite my never-ending protests, Bryan denied and insisted that he'll take me to the party. Even if I was practically wearing a bikini, I was excited to go to the party.

Did I, Jade Williams, just admit that I'm excited to go to a party?

Bryan and Conner are getting to my mind, Lord help.

"Whatcha thinking about?" Bryan wiggled his eyebrows at me. I scoffed, "keep your eyes on the road big guy." He shrugged and pulled up to a darkly lit mansion. It's a shame it was too dark to actually take in the architecture. The only thing keeping it from being completely pitch-black were the purple and pink flashing strobe lights seeping from the inside. Bryan noticed my love-struck gaze for the house and chuckled, "ready?"

I hopped out of the car and stepped onto the concrete, taking note of every tiny detail. Drunken and intoxicated teenagers were scattered onto the lawn along with empty red solo cups. Some people needed a lesson from their mothers, and others just needed a room.

It wouldn't be a surprise if by the time the party ended, people would be jumping into tennis courts and running away from the police – just being honest. Bryan interlocked our elbows and led me up the steps towards the doors. We slipped in and the scent of alcohol and some other smells stung my nose and nearly teared up my eyes.

Bryan rubbed his hands together, "time to find a lucky lady," he sniggered under his breath. I internally gagged at how blunt someone could be and then remembered how I wish I could be like that. It sucks caring about people and how they feel sometimes.

After being tossed from corner and corner, I ended up in the kitchen. Luckily, I wasn't thirsty otherwise I wouldn't have a choice other than to be drunk and waking up in a bed that isn't mine.

A drunken slurred voice called out for me, "Green!" I turned around and smiled at Conner. His smile was lopsided and he seemed to have a bit-too-much to drink. Seriously, this party started like half an hour ago. "Hey Conner," I couldn't help but to laugh at how he staggered closer to me.

"Should we wait for lit or should we just do it now? I'd prefer to do it now, I never got to practice and I need an A if you know what I'm saying!" He smirked and I realized what he meant.

An awkward chuckle escaped my mouth, "See you later, Peterson." I pat his back and tried slipping out of the kitchen but he gripped onto my wrist and pulled me into his chest.

"You're lovely," he murmured into my ear. My body heat up and my cheeks flushed up uncontrollably. He held my hands and made a space between him and I. "I picked a song that you'd like, just for you Williams." He giggled like a toddler. "It'll be playing anytime now."

Hah, if I said that I don't listen to the songs on the radio I'd definitely sound like a hipster.

"Oh really now?" He took my wrist again and dragged me towards the dancefloor.

"I'm a puppet on a string, tracy island, time-traveling diamond, could a shaped heartaches, come to find you fall in some velvet morning." My face lit up at the sound of the song starting. Conner stumbled over people and dragged me to the middle of the floor.

"And satisfaction feels like a distance memory, and I can't help myself, all I wanna hear you say is are you mine?" I couldn't help but to sing along at the top-of-my-lungs like my life depended on it. Seriously, I sung like if I didn't lose my breath I would die the next day.

Wait..

The song ended and tried to escape the closed-in space but Conner held onto my wrists and rocked his head side to side like his life depended on it. I chuckled but felt awkward as I was probably the only sober person in this house.

Another person came swaying behind me and wrapped their arms barely under my arms. Conner furrowed his eyebrows together and shoved beside me and tried to take me out of the person's grasp. I turned my head to get a glimpse at the person and met eyes with none other than Ashton himself. Conner became pissed when he couldn't pull me away and threw a fist at Ashton.

The crowd around us quickly gave us a bit more space for Conner to beat him up.

This time, I won't pull him away. In fact, break his nose Conner!

Ashton quickly regained his balance and got onto his feet to shove Conner into some people. Conner returned his actions by punching him again but this time Ashton had fury stringing in his eyes. At this point, Conner had a bruise on his cheek but Ashton had way more.

"What the hell is your problem?" Ashton grumbled whilst rubbing his bleeding lip. Conner shoved him in the stomach and Ashton took my hand and dragged me with him.

"You better let go of her, or I will beat your ass and make sure you don't wake up tomorrow!" Conner growled before tackling Ashton to the ground and knocking him out cold. Everyone gasped and it took me a moment to figure out why.

I'm "dating" Bryan, and Conner just threatened to kill a scrawny guy for me.

Wow. Well okay then.

Conner's chest heaved up and down from his heavy breathing. Ashton laid on the floor while people snapped pictures of him, completely miserable. For a second there, I almost felt bad.

Note that I said for a second and almost. Yeah, there's no way I'd feel mercy on that piece of crap.

"Conner?" He glanced over his shoulder to look at me. "Are you okay?" At this point the intoxicated and lustful teenagers had made their way to the dance floor again and continued their previous actions. Conner took my hand and led me towards the balcony. He grabbed another drink and chugged it down until his head was visibly throbbing.

"I need to tell you something," he ran his fingers through his hair and smiled.
