IX. Hard Man

As I entered where Hard Man was I saw a robotic bee dropping more robotic bees. I slid pass them as I entered the cave Hard Man was in. After making it through Mettals driving bulldozers, jumping monkeys, and Hammer Joes, I finally made it to the halfway point when I heard Break Man's whistle.

"What do you want? Who are you? Why fight me, then leave? Why help me? Are you my friend or are you my enemy?"

He just shot at me while I ducked out of the way. There's no use in fighting him, I have to stall him. He isn't facing for a long time. I could use that to my advantage. A good shot could work too. When I got the chance I shot him in the back. "Argh. Cheap shot!" He then teleported away.

I took a short rest while I reflected on that battle. He is definitely suffering from something. Could he be? Maybe.

It doesn't matter right now anyway. I've got to retrieve the energy element. Let's hope Hard Man does this peacefully. There's no telling, if I fall now, then the world's in trouble.

After making it to Hard Man, he rolled an E-tank over to me. "You look like you could use an energy refill."

"Thanks. This isn't a trap is it?"

"No. I believe in fighting fairly."

"Okay then. Since your being a bit nice. Why? Why steal the element?"

"Heh. I was told to."

"By who?"

"You'll find out. But now it's time to fight!" After one of the robot monkeys hit a bell. I noticed that the room had a boxing ring in it.... and I was standing right in the middle of it. I saw Hard Man jump towards me and I slid out of the way. I the shot him with a Magnet Missile.

"Ha, you think one measly Missile is gonna stop me? Is that all you got?"

I then shot him with some more Magnet Missiles and he went down. "How about now?" I then copied his weapon.
