The Carnival

Ash's POV

"omg ash that is soo cute." I looked down and blushed.

"I still need to go and buy the ring." Alex grabbed my hand and pulled me out the door. I laughed at how excited she was. Only she knows that I'm going to purpose to Hope.

We got in the car and I drove off. Out of nowhere she started laughing.

"dude what did you eat this morning." she looked at me and smacked me over my head.

"ow." she smirked. After a long ride of obnoxious singing we arrived at the shop. We hopped out of the car and spent hours looking for the right ring.

"hey Ash just get her a ring pop." I rolled my eyes and shook my head causing her to laugh. This girl I swear. A few minutes passed and she screamed so loud I wouldn't be surprised if the Windows cracked.

"what's wrong?"

"nothing I saw a hair out of place and I freaked out." I gave her a blank look and she smiled sheepishly.

"look at this one." she pointed at a beautiful ring, perfect for Hope. I smiled,

"that one." we called for someone and a lady came over and smiled.

"what a beautiful couple. You are lucky to be marrying her." me and Alex looked at each other and bursted out laughing leaving the lady with a confused look.

"no we are just friends. He's marrying another friend. He's like my older brother." she nodded blushing.

"sorry." we shook our heads saying no problem. Ash payed for the ring and we left.

"how much was the ring?" ash looked at me.

"were you not there?" I laughed.

"yes but I was looking at something." he shook his head smiling.

"20grand." she let out a whistle and I smiled.

"it was worth it." she nodded in agreement.

"you mind texting the others to meet us at the carnival?" she nodded taking out her phone. She texted and smirked then clicked send.

"what did you send?" she smirked and shook her head. I shrugged it off and pulled into the parking lot where the carnival was being held. We walked in and waited by the entrance.

"GUYS OMG WHERE ARE THEY!!" I looked at Alex and she smiled innocently.

"what did you-"

"I told them that one direction was here." Ash shook his head and the girls pouted while the boys laughed.

"let's go on some rides?" we all nodded and I took Hope's hand.

"lets go on the Ferris wheel." she smiled and nodded. We got in and I ran a hand through my hair and Alex flipped hers.

"aren't you guys getting on?" everyone shook their heads and I smiled knowing my plan was working. I saw Alex whispering something in the man's ear and he nodded. once we reached the top the cart stopped.

"there seems to have been technical difficulties. Please stay still and remain calm." that was not planned. I heard people groan and then my phone vibrated and I saw it was Alex.

Alex: haii what the man said was true. the thingy stopped working.

me:great. okay

she didn't text back and I turned to look at Hope.

"you okay?" she nodded.

"Hope?" she turned to me and I kissed her. She seemed surprised but before she can kiss me back I pulled away. I got off the seat and and leaned down in front of her.

"A-"

"Hope when I first met you I fell in love. You complete me. You're everything and without you well let's just say there is no me. You know I'm not good with words nor expressing my feelings so I'm just going to cut this short since I know you're feeling uneasy since we are at the top and the cart is moving." she giggled at the last part.

I pulled out the ring and she gasped. Tears forming in her eyes.

"Hope you are the love of my life and I don't see myself with anyone else. Will you marry me?" she smiled and nodded. I smiled wide and kissed her.
