Happy New Year

It was an hour before the party and Erebus had gone to finish up some business really quick, as he was perfectly fine with his fancy suit I, on the other hand, was here searching for the right shoes to go with my dress. The dress was on the bed waiting for me to put it on but the only shoes that were black of mine were some flats but, were those nice enough? In the end, I grabbed them and put them on having nothing else that would good, the dress was long and nearly covered them. The mirror reflected my face as I put on some makeup and curled my hair, hoping that this wasn't overdoing it but Erebus was wearing a darn suit anyway and it was an important occasion. The door opened and Erebus walked in and looked at me I smiled at him as he looked me over and took my hand

"You look beautiful"
"You look very handsome" I replied

He smirked and walked out the door with me following at his side before walking out to an SUV parked in the front, the same man as before holding the door open for me as I stepped in and smiled at him. Erebus got in the back beside me as the car started up and started driving away from the house, the uneasy feeling went to my stomach again but it was easy to deal with this time. It was a short drive luckily and soon we stopped in front of a large house that was lit up and people were scattered over the front lawn chatting with another. People looked up once Erebus got out of the car and the driver opened my door, they were all looking at Erebus with respect but when they saw me they looked excited. Erebus put his arm out for me to take and I did as a woman and man walked over to us, the man was dressed in a suit while the women had a white silk dressed on. She smiled at me and I smiled back as they stopped in front of us

"Good evening Alpha Erebus and Miss?" the man looked over at me "It's Layla" "Nice to meet you Luna Layla, glad you both could make it. Please enjoy yourselves and we will be starting dinner soon"

Erebus nodded before walking towards the house, "Was that Derek and Sasha?" I asked looking up at him as we walked up the porch steps "Yes, he and Sasha have been together for a few years now" I nodded while looking into the house as we entered. People looked up at us and some smiled before looking away, Erebus walked in the direction of a couple that was turned away from us but as we neared the women turned and smiled at me, it was Addison.

"Oh Brandon, its Layla, and Erebus," she said excitedly while tapping the shoulder of the man beside her. He turned and looked at us, he had pure blond hair and was tall with a slender frame and gave us a smile, Addison came up and hugged me before looking over my dress

"You look so pretty Layla!" she smiled "Thank you. You look beautiful" I replied,
Her dress was shorter and a nice shade of red that hugged her torso and fanned out at the bottom. Brandon walked over to Addison's side

"Hi Layla, it's nice to meet you" he greeted
"Hello, it's nice to meet you as well"

Everyone slowly began to sit down at tables to eat and when you did servants came up and gave you a small menu to order off of. It was a little overwhelming to be surrounded by so many people but I ate my dinner silently while trying to not look as nervous as I felt. Addison chatted occasionally here and there with me throughout the meal but overall it was quiet with all of us at the table. I glanced over at the other table beside us and there were a couple women looking at Erebus and when they saw me they frowned and looked away to keep talking to each other. My napkin fell onto the table as I stood up from my chair and murmured an "excuse me" before walking out of the room. The halls were long as I wandered aimlessly to find a place to just tidy up for a minute, one of the doors opened down the hall and out walked just the man I hoped I wouldn't see.
