The Westbury Faery was a woman, blessed by the Celtic goddess of rebirth, Cerridwen. She blessed the woman in the pictures, who was the swashbuckling lady, and the wife of the unnamed convict, to be reborn as a faerie. The specific faerie that she was reborn as is unknown but seems to be an imp of some kind. She most likely was an immigrant from Ireland, a witch possibly. The reason the teen got bit is because he was too close to the grave, she thought he might deface it and/or rob him. So she deterred him and any others who would dare go near her sweetheart by biting them on the neck, as a warning. That's why the townsfolk don't want to go near. Where there are blessings, there is bound to be more faerie activity. As faeries live in communities, they would want to surround the one who was originally human, and was turned into one of them. The most likely situation was that, the witch asked Cerridwen to bring her husband back, but she would not. Cerridwen did have another plan though, she had decided to turn the lady into a faerie, as to see her husband as a spirit, and to protect his grave from robbers, so it was decided. She had to perform a ritual to prepare her body for transformation. She of course had to fake her own death, that's where the obituary comes in. The bottle was the conduit of Cerridwen's power into the witch's vessel. The pictures, were all of the hideout of her husband. The flag, was from where the convict escaped to before his untimely demise. She tore off a piece that was unused in the ritual. The ritual being, that she needed something bound to him, the flag. The tea caddy was used to carry the tea of magical herbs and assorted other items. Once mixed with the rest of the ingredients, she would drink it, and the transformation would begin. The transformation of course would take a few days. She always kept a mirror by her side, and her hair continually fell out. Her purse, to keep all of the money she spent on hair regrowing tonics, none of which worked. Once she had transformed, her primal urges had to be le out, so she murdered someone. Not of her own volition of course. She had thought of immigrating to Canada since, her husband died, but her solution was already taking effect. She sketched how she changed in the mirror. Her transformation was complete. She went to her husbands grave and slept. She was then bound to that grave for the rest of her life.
