You and Mel settle down in your room onto your chosen beds. You lay down and turn on the T.V. and snuggle into your covers.

"It's not time for bed yet, sis." Says Mel.

You reply, "I know, just cold."

"I'll turn up the heat for ya." Mel says turning the knob on the heater.

"Thanks." You say. Then your stomach growls.

Mel giggles and asks, "Are you hungry?"

You nod rubbing your arms for warmth. Mel says, "I think there was a place next door called Grillby's. You wanna come with?"

You don't wanna leave the warm covers, but your gut wants food, so you accept. You exit the room and walk in the hallway heading to the elevator.

You ask, "Mel, is there any money left for the food?"

"Uh," she checks her pockets. "Yup."

"Okay." You reply with a sigh.

"You okay?" She's asks pressing the elevator button.

"Uh, yeah. Just glad to be away from our abusive parents, y'know?"

"Yeah." She nods.

You enter the elevator and make your way down to the lobby.

Grace calls from the desk, "Leaving already?"

"No," says Mel. "Just goin' out for a bite to eat."

"Okay, well have a great day."

"You, too."

Grace smiles and waves as you exit the motel. You feel the cold wind blow across your face and you bury it into your coat. Your so glad that it's just close by. Mel and you enter Grillby's and sit at the bar. There's a flaming man behind the counter cleaning out a glass with a towel (not the kind you wrap yourself, but you know what I mean) who you assumed worked here.

"Excuse me," you say to him. "May I have some fries?"

"Me, too." Adds Mel.

He nods and writes it down. Then he clips it into a thing (I don't know what they're called) and another fiery person in the back takes it. What is with the odd looking people here? You just don't get why they look like that. Well you know you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, but this is just not what you're used to. And speaking of odd looking people, a tall skeleton enters. He has a crack above one eye and below the other, a dark gray jacket without a shirt under it, and yellow pinpricks that you thought were his eyes. He sits at the bar beside you.

"Hey, Grillbz. The usual." He says.

The flaming man, Grillby, nods and writes it down. You can't help but look at him. A living skeleton. Wow.

"Can I help you with something doll?"

"Oh?" You noticed you were staring at him and lightly blush. "O-oh no! I don't n-need anything."

He snickers and takes a few glances at you. You just feel so uneasy around him. You don't know why. You shift in your seat to a way that is comfortable, but still nervous.

The flaming person from the back comes out with two things of fries and a bottle of ketchup. She hands the ketchup to the skeleton and the fries to you and Mel.

"Here you go, Sans." Says the fiery girl.

"Thanks Beth." He says back.

So his name is Sans and she's Beth? They must know each other. And he's...drinking the ketchup? He gulps it down, but you don't see it go through. He doesn't have a throat! How is he doing that? He sees you staring again and seems to know what you're thinking.

"That's magic."

"Huh?" You say confused of what he was talking about.

"How I eat food, magic."

"O-oh." You look at the table slowly eating your fries.

Mel looks over finishing her fries and says, "You've barely eaten your fries, (Y/N)."

"I'm eating them right now."

"Okay, make sure you eat it all because I don't want my sister to starve." You smile as you continue eating your fries.

Just something about the skeleton seems to interest you. He looks so mysterious and dark. Heh, I bet he might have some skeletons in his closet. You giggle to yourself without noticing your sister is looking at you.

"(Y/N), why are you laughing? You're creeping me out." You stop giggling and look at her,

"Nothing." She raises an eyebrow and smirks looking away.

Sans's P.O.V.~

That girl next to me seems odd. Not that she's human, but just...something. I can't really describe it. She seems interested in my magic. I mean really, is it that interesting? It's just a part of me. But her, something seems strange about her, I just can't put my finger on it.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.~

You finish your fries and wipe your mouth with a napkin.

"Mel, is there anymore money left? I'm still hungry."

"Sorry sis," she replies.

"Used the rest for the fries." Your stomach growls.

Sans leans back to face Mel and says, "I can get you guys something."

"Oh no, we possibly can't-"

"It's on me. I'll just put it on my tab."

You look at Mel with a puppy face and she doesn't look very tempted, then she gives in and sighs.

"Thank you."

"No problem." He says to her. "So what do you ladies want to eat?"

You say, "(F/F), and (F/D)."

"A hamburger and a sweet tea." Says Mel.

Sans nods and looks towards Grillby and tells him the orders. Again, he writes it down and clips it in the back. Sans leans back in his seat seeming to relax and takes a deep breath, then he looks over to you.

"So uh, Mettaton is having a party at his house tonight. You plan on going?"

"Mettaton? Who is he?"

"He's a celebrity. Aaannnddd he's really into pink. I'm sure you'll notice."

Mel looks at you and says, "If you're going, I'm coming with."

You nod to him and he smirks.
