I was running nonstop to an unknown destination... running, running from..  HIM... the one man who has managed to make you drop your cool kid ego and cry, scream even... He scared the shit out of you.. and your brother.. Images of Dirk laying there on the floor... presumed dead... flooded my mind. I shook my head and continued running. Then he caught up with me...   "Dave get your ass up." I groaned and rolled over, to see my older brother, Dirk. "I had that dream again..." I whispered. He pulled me into a hug. "It's okay...Bro is gone now..." he said finishing with a cough. I could tell from the way he coughed that he was keeping the last part of that sentence quiet. But I already knew it. 'For now..' I finished the thought inside my head...

**Flashback**

This was it. The day me and Dirk were gonna run away from our horrid brother. He... abused us in many ways, and we were often not at school because of it. I finished putting some food (Including apple juice and doritoes♡♡) into my backpack and slipped on my running shoes and shades. I looked over at Dirk, and he nodded. We shouldered our bags and walked out. We tip-toed to the door and slipped out silently. Then we ran. To the nearest bus. When we got off the bus we were at an airport. We bought our tickets to L.A., C.A. and went to the terminal in which we were to wait. I got a text from Bro asking where the fuck we were. I showed Dirk and he frowned and looked horrified. "I-I think we'll be okay.." "What if he finds us.."  "He wont..." The speaker then announced our flight. We got a seat on the plane and I plugged my headphones in.

We got of the plane and called John, my best friend who lives where we are going to..hopefully... who moved there a month ago with his dad and two sisters. We asked him to come pick us up and we'd explain what happened when he got there..

**Another Time Skip**

We arrived at John's house and he took us to his room. "Spill" was all he said. We told him what happened, and what has been happening for ages now.. John looked horrified about all that and automatically took us into the kitchen for some apple pie and milk. We ate in silence...

"Dave come on get out of bed there's school today" Dirk whined.
Oh yeah... today was the first day at your new school... I forgot... "Oh shit that's today?!" I screeched, then shoved him out of my room so I could get dressed. "HOLY SHIT DAVE CALM DOWN!!" He yelled through my door. I rolled my eyes and just continued getting prepared for school.. I slipped on my shades and my red and black converse. God I love my converse. And my shades. I remember the day I got them. John gave them to me as a birthday present. I almost smile at the memory. As I slip my shirt off, I catch glimpses of my scars.... I remember those days... It seems so long ago... even though it was only about three weeks ago... I shake my head and pull on my long sleeve T-shirt with a gear on it. When I'm done getting ready, I walked to John's house with Dirk. We walked to school having small chats and arguments about ships and anime, and bands... (Ssshhhh) As we arrived in front of school, John made the girliest fucking squeal I have ever heard. "OOHHHH DAVE, DIRK I CAN'T WAIT FOR YOU GUYS TO MEET MY FFRRIIEENNDDSSS!! YOU'RE GOING TO LOVE THEM!!!" Ge grinned his big, buck-toothed, dorky grin, and opened the school doors. He pulled me and Dirk towards a group of... people? There were humans.. but also some weird grey people with horns... weird. John waved and said "hey guys! this is Dave and Dirk!"He happily pointed to both of us. He turned towards us, then said "And these are(*Turns back towards his friends*) Eridan, Vriska, Roxy, Jane, Rose, Feferi, Kanaya, Gamzee, Tavros, Aradia, Sollux, Terezi, Nepeta, Equius, Jake ((I saw Dirk staring at Jake... Jake blushed..III SSHHHIIIPPP IIITTTTT)), and Karkat." As my eyes landed on the last..person..((?))  being intoduced, NY heart melted. Before me was the cutest, shortest little... person.. ((?)) I has ever seen. He had short, nubby horns... "Oh and I forgot to mention!! The grey skinned ones... sorry I don't feel like saying all the names.." "Racist..." I heard the one called... Sollux...((?)) say. I scoffed at that. "As I was saying... " John said, glancing at you and Dirk. "The... horned ones...?? Are called Trolls. They moved her from Alternia, a planet in another universe."  I grabbed the nearest "Troll's" arm and tried to rub of the paint on it. "HEY WHAT THE FUCK NOOK SUCKER!" Growled the short, nubby "Troll" that you developed a little crus- WHAT NO! YOU ARE THE STRIDER! D-STRIDES, MR. IRONY!! DAVE STRIDER DICK RIDER.............

Anyways... he glared at you after pulling his arm away from you. He put his hand on his hip in a very attrac- ffuuuucccckkk- way, and said "Okay, I don't know what the FUCK is wrong with you, but you don't just fucking grab someone's arm and rub them. And yes, what Egbert said, is true. We are trolls. From Alternia. Get it through to your dense think pan, fuckass!" I smirked and said "Nice pose, kitkat." then the bell rang and you walked off.
