I wouldn't necessarily call Divergent High a prestigious school, but we are around the top ten in high school rankings in Chicago, with the Erudites pulling them up to the top school. As I look across the schoolyard I see who how segregated are school is with the Erudites studying, the Amity playing with their hair, the Abnegation sulking in selflessness, the Candor having debates and lastly the Dauntless playing dirty and making "big macho men" out of themselves.

I belong to Erudite, the smartest and most wise faction group out of the whole high school. Everybody loves us because with us they don't have to do their own homework, because we help bring up the grades with a 4.6 GPA, and all they have to do is smile and wave like idiots so the school looks good.

When I walk into the school, plenty of people stop and wave at me, or shyly smile and went back to what they were doing before. I head towards the school office to grab my new schedule, but as I smelled the newly cleaned room I smile, This was going to be a great year, even better than last year. I think to myself.

"Hello Beatrice" The secretary, Adelice says with a smile as I walk in. "I am sorry to inform you that there has been a mix- up in your profile. You are now a member of the Dauntless faction group because of the aptitude test you retook this summer.

"WHAT!!??" I explode, slamming my hands down on her desk.

"I'm sorry hun, but it is what it is and I can't change it. It is a good thing that you have good P.E. grades, that is what the Dauntless focused on."

I spin on my heel and stomp out of the room, furious with the mistake the school had made. How am I going to make it through high school being in the Dauntless faction? I think to myself. On my way towards my locker I'm broken out of my reverie as I bump into Christina, my best friend from elementary school. I haven't seen her since last year though because she went to Ireland to visit family and study abroad. We both start cracking up. That is the nice thing about Christina, she is always laughing. I sometimes joke that she should be in Amity, but she always gets mad at me.

I look to the locker that's on my right, I see that it belongs to a boy named Four. From what I know about dauntless Four was pretty popular, he was also a jock and kinda of a player when it came to the ladies. All I knew was that this year I was not going to fall for I'm because last year a girl named Lauren hooked up with him, and the next day she woke up in the hospital, pregnant. Lauren later got an abortion, and was in terrible condition afterwards.

I turn around, only to be pushed up against my locker by Peter, at least I think that was his name. He pushed his lips hard against mine, and grabbed my waist so that our hips were grinding against each others, hard. Without another second of thinking I pushed my lips against his, slowly at first, but as we continued it got desperate and aggressive. His hands traveled down my back to my thighs and towards my butt, giving it a light squeeze. A gasp escaped my mouth, and I could feel his smirk against my lips. He licked my sore bottom lip, asking for an entrance to explore my mouth. I let him. Our tongues explored each other's mouths, only to be interrupted by A soft cough. I looked up from Peter's mouth, and was met by piercing blue eyes. Four was standing right above us looking down at us with a slight smirk on his face.

"Can I go to my locker, or are you guys just going to be sucking each other's faces all day?" Four asks

Feeling flustered I walk away to my next class. I realized that within an hour of being in Dauntless, I finally felt free and light as if I was floating. I think I could get used to Dauntless, I said with a slight smirk on my face.
