Chapter 10

After Fabian left I went to make enquiries with the doctor on me getting out of this place;Apparently they need to be sure I'm out of any danger before letting me out. They need to carry out several test and shit like that . Curse my sensitive and fragile personality.

Since I wasn't allowed to leave to hospital I decided to give myself a tour . It was going to be boring considering it was a tour round a hospital but it's not like I have anything better to do.
I decided to go through the clothes Fabian brought me and I still cant believe her went through my underwear drawer. The clothes weren't much and it saved me the stress of wasting hours looking for clothes.
I decided to wear a shirt that read ' I'm in love with the shape of you' with leggings and puma shoes(image above).
I discovered a really cool cofee place and their pastries are simply amazing. I went round several random rooms and doors just for the sake of it. I walked into a door and I saw a baby in a stroller, he had bright blue eyes and blonde hair.Sooooo.....cute. I went in to say hello to the boy and the woman I assume is his mother.
"Hello cutie"i say smiling to the baby.i look to the mother and ask "What's his name maam?" She smiles and replies "Barry ,he's sick" Awwwww how can such a cutie be sick, just look at him."Sorry baby-" I look to the mother and asked if I could carry Barry and she nodded in assurance. I carried him and he smiled revealing his toothless mouth. He's smile soon changed and he looked disturbed. "What's wrong Barr-" Before I could complete my statement, he puked letting the vomit roll down my back. Barry's mom kept apologising as she handed me a tissue which I used to dry it off a bit. I tried not to look to upset as I headed back to my room to change. I kept looking at the stained parts of my shirt till I bumped into a wall. I looked up to see that the wall was actually a person and a really cute one at that. I realised I needed to give an apology and I did just that.

"I'm sorry , I didn't mean to bump into you"I said looking up at the person I bumped into. He should be over a feet taller than me , I'm not that short so he must be quiet tall. While I was having mind conversations with myself I heard him say something but I didn't quite hear it.Maybe because you were too busy staring at him. Shut up inner Eva. I didn't want to seem like a weirdo so I did the only logical thing to do. I introduced myself.

"Eva"I said a bit to quickly, earning in response a confused expression from him.

"My name, it's Eva"

"Nice to meet you Eva. I'm Jackson,doctor Jackson."

"Wow you are a doctor"he seemed way too young to have gone through medicine school.

"Yes, do you have anything against doctors"he wasn't sure if he was joking or not till I saw the smile on his face revealing his perfect set of teeth. Oh so now you obsess over guys teeth. Shut up

"I'm sorry what?" What's with me and thinking out loud.

"I'm sorry not you. I was talking to ehrmmmmm myself myself" I could even form words properly. Damn it all to hell. I thought Jackson would be staring blankly but surprisingly he was laughing.

"You are weird , but the good kind of weird. I'd really like to-" A screech from the speaker prevented him from completing his statement as a woman's voice blasted through the hospital halls" Doctor Jackson, please report to room 187".

"That my call , nice meeting you Eva"he walked away briskly as I continued to journey back to my room.

I went into my room to take shower and as soon as I got out, I got a call from Amy and Carly.
"Evelyn McCarthy where in peter pans name have you been" Amy said sounding like her five year old kid ran away.
"Sorry mom. I'm at the hospital what do you want?" I asked abit rudely.
"Wow , so much for friendship Eva. I call as a caring friend to ask why my best friend as not been in school for days and you are.........wow Eva I could have expected this from Carly not you." I could her Carly in the background mumbling about Amy's comment.
"Sorry now stop being a drama queen, what's the harps?"
Amy handed the phone to Carly who started telling me everything I had missed.
"Okay firstly , Madison is spreading rumours of you running away from school cause you couldn't stand that she was better than you. Blake is having a party on Friday , the whole school will be there . That's about everything."
"No that isn't " amy interupted
"Shut up Amy" they argued and I rolled my eyes at their childishness.
"Carly's dating Kevin the swimteam captain" amy blurted and I started laughing. Carly has had this huge crush on Kevin since the 5th grade and Kevin had a really possessive cakefaced girlfriend Ruth, she was in Madison's squad.
"Congrats Carls"
"Thanks, now back to why you are in the hospital."
"Urrrhhmmmm my mums friend is Ill so since my mom is outta town she asked me to stay with her." I lied
"Doesn't she have family?"Amy asked
"Erhmm no no she doesn't it was a car accident and she was the only survivor." Its a good thing the girls weren't here to see the sweaty palms I kept rubbing on the towel I was wearing.
"That's so sad" amy said and I nodded like she could see me.
"Amy , let's go see them" carly suggested and I started to panic.
"No no no. There's no need , I'll come see you instead" I said and immediately regretted it.
"Cool but how about your moms friend"
"What friend ?" I asked before I remembered my lie.
"I will leave her with the nurses"
"Kay , meet us at the mall in two hours. Bye" Carly said I scattered my once perfect hair in frustration.

I took time straightening my hair again. I packed it into a pony tail and used a little makeup. I picked out a black dress with black heels and stuffing my phone ,ATM card and lipgloss to my clutch and started planning my escape. I went to one of the rooms I had seen on my tour and putting on the nurse uniform I wore my sunglasses and made my gracious exit. Few steps away from the door, I was stopped by a male voice calling "Nurse". I stopped in my tracks and replied a "yes". My voice was breaking and I swallowed to keep my self in order.
"Is your shift over?"the man asked and I said yes.
"Could you look at me I don't like the idea of talking to your back". I turned slowly hoping he won't notice im an imposter. I turned to face him but stared at the floor.
"Eva?"
I looked up to see Jackson and to avoid questions, I played the pathetic girl part.I began crying and thank God for drama class."what's wrong Eva?"he asked obviously confused.
"Please take me out of here"I said between sobs and he did just that without questions which I was happy for.
