I really need to stop making names up and actually find the right ones, don't I? Yeah....anyways so this name is made too, haha xD Oh, but can I just take this time to thank everyone who has read this book? I know compared to a lot of stories, 204 reads isn't a lot, but it is for me! Plus #378 in horror?! That's amazing! Thank you so much! x
Soooo, I would say this is 7/10, as it's not really scary but very cringe-worthy.

An old man's wife had been in a coma for many months, and eventually the doctors told him they would have to turn off her life support. She showed no signs of recovery and it was doubtful she would ever wake up. The man was against this vehemently, but eventually the nurses persuaded him it was the kindest thing to do for her; she was very old.
After her life support stopped, the doctors checked her over and declared her dead. The old man was heart broken and began to go crazy - her argued and shouted at the doctors that she couldn't be dead, as he could "feel her presence" when he stood next to her body. The doctors tried to calm him down, but he was unconsolable.
Now in those days, the body was not drained of fluids - it was simply put into a coffin and buried.
During the wife's funeral, he had to be restrained from running over and opening the coffin. He was screaming and fighting the whole time, and was eventually taken away. The coffin was lowered into the ground and buried.
That night, the old man had a dream - he saw his dead wife, buried under the ground in her coffin, screaming and scrabbling at the coffin with her nails. He woke up quickly, sweating and gasping.
The next day, he arrived at the funeral directors and begged them to take out the coffin and check to see if she was alive. He refused, saying that the woman had been checked over by a trained professional and it was pointless. The old man left, in tears. He had the same dream of his wife that night.
The next day he arrived again, and pleaded on his knees for them to take the coffin out, but achieved only the same results.
A week passed, and the old man had the same dream every night. Finally, he returned the the funeral house. This time he threatened to get the authorities involved if they didn't check his wife over. The funeral director debated about this, and decided it was probably an empty threat; the authorities would most likely refuse the mans crazy pleas as well, but he didn't want to get a bad reputation for his company. He wearily agreed to take out the coffin.
The next day, the old man, the funeral director and a doctor went to the grave yard and had the old womens grave dug up. They lifted the lid of the coffin up.
They were horrified to find that there were long, bloody scratch marks on the inside lid of the coffin, and the wife's fingernails were torn and bloodied. Her eyes, which had been closed when she was lowered into the coffin, were open, and her mouth was stretched wide in a terrified, silent scream.
