Brokentail could feel someone lift him up from the scruff of his neck and drag him. Even through his exhaustion, he wanted to run away. He could've killed Bluestar if it weren't for those stupid Thunderclan cats. And now, he was stuck in the camp, most likely to be killed due to what they think is wrong.
Once he could feel his body on the ground, he rested a bit. But then, the raspy words of a certain medicine cat reached his ears.
"Eat these, they'll make the pain go away."
Without hesitation, Brokentail began to eat them. For once, he was fixed on healing his own wounds, and never thought about what the conciquence may be.
"I have no care for you Brokentail," Yellowfang meowed, "Not for your clan, honor, or kin."
At this, Brokentail laughed. "I have no kin." He never had any, and never would.
"You're wrong, your kin have been closer than you imagine." He could sense Yellowfang getting closer. "I'm your mother, Brokentail. And you murdered your own father. Now it is time to put an end to your treachery."
Brokentail, who had just finished his last berry, stood up in astonishment. And suddenly, all his memories he had forcefully forgotten came flooding through his head. He remembered when he was told his father was Raggedpelt and he had a secret mother. I must have forgotten that! He thought, remebering the death of his father. Then, his memories of Yellowfang trying to spend time with him came back, and how he had exiled her for her power. Everything soon made since, which horrified him. And then, the pain came.
Waiting for the pain to subside, Brokentail lowered himself until he couldn't even support himself, and then fell over. Then, all he could see was black.
