It was finally time. Pyramid. Abby watched as all the girls, followed by their mothers, entered the

studio. You could cut the tension with a knife. All seven girls lined up in front of the mirrors where their headshots were put up carefully. The room stood still, up until Abby spoke.

Abby's P.O.V

"Okay girls. Lets start at the bottom." I said loudly. I ripped the Abby Lee Dance Company logo picture off, which reveled Brooke's photo. "No surprise, " I began. "You forgot the group dance, and you slipped when you went to land your side ariel!" I ripped off the next ALDC logo picture, which reveled Nia's photo. "You did exceptionally well this past week, but still not you're best! One thing you defiantly need to work on, is pointing those feet!" I ripped off the next photo, and so on and so on. Kendall, then Paige's photo were reveled. "Both of you did well on your duet. But next time Kendall, watch your posture! And Paige, great job on your back tuck!" There were now three photos left, I stood for a minute, waiting for the room to calm a bit.

Chloe's P.O.V

I'm so nervous! I really hope I'm on top! I think I have a good chance, considering Maddie's solos don't win as often as they always had. I've always felt like the second choice next to Maddie. Miss Abby always gives her 'special treatment'. She is my friend, I just don't like the way I'm treated here, at the ALDC as a dancer. I think I'm good. But does Abby think I'm good? That, I may not ever know.

Maddie's P.O.V

I couldn't take it anymore! Just rip off the stupid pictures! I don't have any confidence at all that I'm on top! My dancing is turning into something that I just can't stand, anymore! I just feel so out of it, I wanna SCREAM! I honestly don't even care if Abby rips off those dumb pictures or not. I just wanna run out of this studio and never turn back. Never.

Abby ripped off the next picture, it was Mackenzie. "Excellent job in the group dance and your solo, Mackenzie! But, Melissa..." Abby's words trailed off, as she looked at Mackenzie's mother. "Next time, make sure that your daughter's hair accessories are clipped in properly!" Melissa rolled her eyes. "I hear this almost every week!" she thought. There were two photos remaining- Maddie and Chloe's. The two girls both felt very anxious. Well, Maddie really didn't care. Abby ripped off the photo next to Mackenzie. "Chloe," Abby began. "I have been very impressed with your dancing these past weeks. You will have a solo this week." Chloe smiled and looked at her mom, who had been smiling too. Everybody in the room knew who was on top of the pyramid- Maddie. Everyone watched as Abby ripped off the last picture. Of course it was Maddie. Maddie looked at her picture with strange eyes. She didn't think that she would be on top. All because of her loosing all of those solos."Maddie, you will have a solo this week. Everyone was surprised, especially Maddie. "I know that you have been thrown off your game for some reason, but this week, you will work harder!" I nodded to tell Abby I understood.

Maddie's P.O.V

I have no clue why I was chosen to have a solo, and to be on top of the pyramid. I really don't care. That reason, that I was 'thrown off my game' is something that is just too personal to share with anyone. That reason, is why I'm loosing my interest in dance. That reason, is one person. Josh Hyland.
