'My brothers and I are the first vampires in history, the Originals. Three hundred years ago, we called New Orleans home. Now, we've returned, drawn by a witch who seeks to use my brother Klaus' unborn child and mate as leverage in a brewing war. But his quest for power has turned brother against brother, leaving our family more divided than ever. Now that Elijah has returned, can our family unite to face this new threat?'
Elijah was back, and things were awkward between the brothers. Elijah wouldn't talk or speak to Klaus since he's been back, which has been two days. Klaus sat opposite from Elijah in the living room, both reading some sort of book. Klaus is reading a poem called "A Poison Tree" by William Blake, while Elijah is reading one of their mother's grimoires. Laying on a coffee table in front of them, is a dead girl, blood dripping from her neck. After a while, Rebekah enters the living room.
"So, this is what we're doing now after four months of us being a family again? Vampire book club?" She snaps as she stands behind the couch Klaus is sitting on.
Klaus continues to read. "Reading edifies the mind, dear sister. Isn't that right, Elijah?" His eyes raise slightly towards his brother.
"Yes, that's quite right, Niklaus." Elijah doesn't bother to look up from his reading, as he makes it clear he's still very cross with Klaus.
Rebekah breathing out, motions to the dead girl on the table. "Really? Then what's this business?" She asked with a hint of an annoyed tone in her voice.
Elijah, finally looking up sighed annoyed as well. "This is a..." he pauses as if looking for the word to use, "...peace offering."
"I presumed, after four months of being locked in a coffin desiccating, my older brother might be slightly peckish." Klaus looks up fully at his brother.
"So then I explained to my little brother, that my forgiveness, nor anyone's forgiveness cannot be bought. I would much rather see a change in behavior that would indicate contrition, and his own personal growth." Elijah gestures to the girl as Klaus rolls his eyes in a guilty manner. "Not this nonsense."
Klaus looks up again and grins. "Well brother, I couldn't let her go to waste now could I?"
Rebekah grunted and motioned to the carpet underneath the girl. "Well, I guess I'll fetch the rubbish bin, because now she's staining a two hundred-year-old carpet." She storms off towards the hallway with the cleaning supplies.
Elijah looks up from his book, staring at the dead girl, whose blood is dripping onto the floor. "Ah, yes I suppose she is."
'I was angry with my friend. I told my wrath, my wrath did end. I was angry with my foe: I told it not, my wrath did grow And I watered it in fears,'
Cami brings flowers to her brothers grave, dropping them once she sees that someone has spray painted the word 'MURDERED' across his headstone.
'Night and morning with my tears; And i sunned it with smiles,'
Father Kieran pulls wooden boards down off the windows of the church, and waves to a group of men standing outside the doors.
'And with soft deceitful wiles. And it grew both day and night,' Klaus looks up at Elijah and then sees what he's staring at, Hayley walks through the room, her hand on her pregnant belly, her thumb stroking her stomach. ''Til it bore an apple bright. And my foe beheld it shine. And he knew that it was mine, And into my garden stole,' Klaus watches as Elijah sets the grimoire down and follow Hayley to the kitchen. 'When the night had veiled the pole; In the morning glad I see My foe outstretched beneath the tree.'
