Chapter 8

I gently knock on the door but I feel a tap on the back and it's him Brad

"What did I tell you, leave Connor alone" he hissed.

The door then swung open and I was greeted by a cheery faced Connor we started chatting and there wasn't any awkwardness between us I felt like we had known each other for years.

We were sitting on the couch facing each other and he was leaning in then boom I felt sparks like fireworks like I had never felt them before

But there was a knock on the door it was brad I jump and run into Connors room that was it brad would find me I tried to escape and jump out the window onto the fire escape

As on Que Connor appeared and grabbed my waist and pulled me close

"What's wrong baby girl nothing's gonna hurt you I'm here to protect you"

"Was it brad" tring to act oblivious to his question

"Yes but I told him to leave"

"Good"

"Now can you tell me why baby girl" he said me snuggling into his chest

"Later I'm tired now"

"Fine go to sleep then"

"No I better get home I can't sleep here"

"It's fine with me you can if you want"

"If it's okay" Connor just nodded in response and we brought me up to the roof it already has 2 mattresses and duvets a gas fire and a couple of old couches

"This is amazing Connor what is this ?"

"It's where I go to escape escape the world" and we lay down with my head snuggled into his chest and his arms around me

"Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars" I whispered - barely audible and boom fireworks
