chapter 11

Recap: "These clothes are really ni-" , I stopped mid word because there standing in front of me was a man. A man I thought was dead.

Dylan. What is he doing here!? How is he alive!?

I felt Lyndsey pull me back into the room.

"I thought you killed him." She said after we locked ourselves in our room.

"I thought so too." I said.

"Well then, how is he here?"

"I don't know. As I said before, I thought I killed him!" I peeped through the peephole to check whether he had left or not but, it seemed like he refused to budge.

A few seconds later I heard footsteps on the other side of the door. They got louder and louder by the second, like someone was walking towards this room.

I picked up a flower vase and made my way behind the door while Lyndsey hid below the bed. As soon as someone entered the room, I closed the door behind that person and flung the vase on her head.

Yes, it was a girl. After she fell unconscious, Lyndsey and I searched her for some identity. Apparently, this girls name was Rose Mathews. We also found an invite to a wine tasting in her handbag.

"So what do you think?" Lyndsey said. "Should we go for this thing?"

"I think we should. At least, we can get out of these stuffy room." I said. Lyndsey flicked her finger on my forehead.

"Oh my god Carter, can you please be serious for once."

"Okay, fine. So what's the plan?"

"First, I'll go to the wine and dine and see if Dylan's there. When I find him, I'll send you a text saying that he's here. Once you get the text, you can go and find Charlie while I keep Dylan distracted. Okay?" 

"Okay but, what if he recognizes you?"

"I don't think that will happen. He has never seen me remember."

"Right. Now, lets put this plan into action."
