CHAPTER FIVE:

Landis's POV:

It's her 21st birthday.

I really have to go buy her a present.so I have an idea.

Lauryns POV:

I just get home and there's no sign of Landis. I look around.. Nowhere, he's nowhere at his house.

I drive myself to my house.

I come home to my mom.

"Hi honey! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"

"Thanks mom"

I walk up the stairs to my room. There I find Landis sitting on my bed without a shirt on. Holy crap. He has a 6 pack.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY LO!"

He has a vanilla cake with vanilla frosting. My favorite! Also a present.

"Awe. Landis! i love you so much!!"

I walk over to my bed and drag my finger through the frosting. Before I lick it off, I smear it on his nose and lick it off my finger.

"Alright birthday girl... I'll let it slide, but just this once."

"Because you love me?"

"Ehh. That too!" He says with a smile on his face

I give a big bear hug and a kiss. We fall backwards and were just laying there. Alone. I had tons of things to do but I didn't care.

"So what's with the bag" I said referring to present

"Oh it's your present"

He hands it to me. and I open it, and I have no clue what it could be.

It's a small jewelry box. I open it up. It's a beautiful diamond ring.

I look over to Landis. He's down on one knee.

*I'm starting to tear up.*

" Lauryn Ann McKay... Since the first day I met you I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. Your so nice and beautiful. Will you marry me?! It would make me the happiest man in the world."

*im crying now*

"Yes Landis! I love you."

"I love you too!"
