The beach

CHAPTER TWO:

The next day kenzie and I went to south haven to relax and get our minds off school.

Kenzie went to go get some food from town for us to eat because we forget to pack some.

A few minutes after kenzie left for town, I decided to walk the pier.

When I was on the pier and then,a boy, about my age, tripped over my black old navy flip flops.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there." he said.

He's really really cute. His eyes are a beautiful blue and his hair is dirty blond.

"Oh, no it's my fault for having my foot out like that."

"Well, if you don't mind by me asking... What's your name?" He says very politely.

" Lauryn." I reply easily.

"I didn't quite catch your name."

"Oh my name is Landis."

"Well it's very nice to meet you Landis!" I say nicely.

We continue to walk down the pier until we reach the end.

" If you could jump off the pier would you?" He's asks almost as if he would.

"Yeah... I guess!"

"Then let's do it!!"

Right then Landis playfully pushes me into the crystal blue waters of Lake Michigan, and jumps in after me. We splash around for a few minutes and have a lot of fun.

I think he likes me. And the problem is... I think I like him back!

We swim over to the orange ladder on the side of the pier and get out.

I kinda forgot about kenzie. She was waiting on the blanket by the shore.

"Landis, I forgot I came her with my friend,kenzie, and she is back with our food."

He stairs at me for a second.

" Ok well, before you go, can I have your number please?"

I give it to him without thinking.

"Great. I'll text you as soon as you turn around!"

Ahh. So he's funny too!

All of a sudden I get a message on my phone: "hey it's Landis!"

I hurry back to kenzie. And the FOOD!

Btw I really like food.

"You little butt! Where have you been? I've been waiting here for like 20 minutes!" She yells impatiently.

" Sorry. I met a cute guy, Landis. And who knows... Maybe he has a cute friend.

After a few hours of swimming and tanning and don't forget shopping, we decided to head home. Kenzie and I drove separate because I had hitting lessons before this.

When I got back to my car, I found a huge surprise.
