The fire swelled around me, the structure about to collapse. I tried to scream but my throat filled with ash, my eyes watering, from smoke or fear I wasnt sure. And then he was there in front of me like I knew he'd be. His eyes blazed in the light of the fire, his hair turning gray with ash. He stared at me intensly, reaching out taking my arm. He spread his wings, and we flew.
