Soulmate AU: Every object/non-human being touched by your soulmate has a shine to it depending on how important it was to them. The shine lasts after death, but not the colours of the world.

Your POV:

I was walking by the wall again, which wall? Berlin wall, of course. I always had a feel that my soulmate was someone that lived on the other side, how do I know? Well the wall shines and nothing else on 'my' side does, but I think that this wall is more important than that... it has a golden shine to it... maybe his family is on 'my' side? Maybe he really wants to find his soulmate and he knows that I'm on this side?

Someone tapped on my shoulder, it was a blond haired soldier, the one that was kind enough to never snitch on me for always trying to look on what was on the other side...

"I'll say it one more time, stooooooop, okay?" He said leaning closer to my ear with every 'o' in stop.

"Vhy do jou even keep on doing zhat? Zhe other zide izn't better zhen ours, if anyzhing, is vurst."

"O-oh it'z b-because..." I cleaned my throat "I-I zhink zhat my soulmate...iz on zhe other zide..." I said looking down to my feet. I felt a hand touch my shoulder again. "L-look I know zhis iz hard but jou have to ztop, my... my brother iz alzo on zhe other zide... and... uh, pleaze stop..." I myes widened, he had family on the other side? "V-vhat'z jour name? Mine's (Y/N)" "Vell I'm Ludwig, nice to meet jou..." I smiled and shaked the hand he had on my shoulder.

"Zo how about ve vait together?" I said smiling and he smiled back saddly "Yeah..."

Everyday I'd go there and find him there, we'd talk, get to know each other, but nothing more than that, I mean I have my prussian soulmate on the other side of the wall to meet and he had already met he soulmate, it was a italian dude, A DUDE! So he's gay, another reason for a relationship between us not work...

"Hallo Lud, how're jou?"

"Hallo (Y/N). I'm zorry but I von't be here tomorow, I'm visiting my zoulmate..." He said looking down.

"I actually just came here to tell jou that, I need to pack my bags, please be fine..." He said and hugged me.

"Ja, I vill, und jou be zafe too, 'kay?" I said hugging back. We bid our goodbyes and he left, I hope he stays safe...

The next day I got up, ate , put on my favourite shirt and some pants and left for school, my home wasn't that far from school and actually today I didn't have many classes so I stopped to go to a coffee shop close to my home.

"Oh bonjour (Y/N)! I azzume you want zhe uzual, non?" I laughed

"Yup! Zhanks Francis!"

I sat down and waited for my cake and my tea to come while reading the newspaper, I think it's important to know what goes on outside of those borders. Something in England that I couldn't care less about...

Francis came back with my food and I thanked him.

"Zhanks Francis, but I have a question... I have a school vork very soon zhat has to do vith french... do jou mind if I visit jour house? Afterall jou live in Paris right?"

"Zureee!" He purred smirking.

"Stop, zhat von't happen."
