John's POV
Emily answered the phone with a hello. "Hey, Zoey." I said. "Hey, John! What's up?" She asked. I'm glad she didn't already forget about me. Well how can you? I'm in Justice Crew. I cleared my throat. "Uhm hey, do you want to go out to eat?" I asked. She was silent for a second. I started getting nervous. What if she said no? I thought about my reaction as she kept silent. When I first saw her, it was like an instant connection. Like one of those love connections. "Yeah! I'd love to. How about 5?" She asked. Her answer broke my thoughts.
"Yeah, sounds good. I'll meet you at Starbucks?" I asked. I didn't want to ask where she lived. Cause who knows. Maybe something will go wrong. "Great! C'ya soon!" She said then hung up. She didn't even give me a chance to say goodbye. I clicked END. I had to get ready. As I jogged up the stairs I looked at my watch. 4:30. I had a half hour to get ready. I took a quick shower, and then I brushed my teeth and hair.
As I brushed my hair I continued to think about Zoey. I'm usually not like this with girls, liking the first one I see, but there is something about Zoey. I don't know what though. She did have beautiful dark brown eyes, and her hair was beautifully dark brown to match. And her smile, her smile was amazingly perfect. I wonder if she thinks the same of me, well handsome, not beautiful. I kinda doubt it. Maybe she's thinking this is a friend thing.
I finished getting ready. I checked my watch, I was 5 minutes early. I better go to Starbucks now, and wait for her. I grabbed my phone and keys and left, closing the door behind me. I walked through our yard and went to my car in the garage. I unlocked my door and entered. I made sure it wasn't dirty or anything, and it wasn't. I closed the door and started the car. I took a deep breathe and started pulling out.
