After my episode, which happened about a week ago now, I was finally put on anti-anxiety and depression meds. They have already been helping even though I just started them recently.
The day I was put on the meds I had just been to the councillor and he asked if I had ever talked to a doctor about going on medication. I left the appointment crying so I called Mitch because I was scared and didn't know what else to do seeing as Jacob wasn't answering his phone and my parents were across the country. Mitch was in class but was willing to leave to pick me up.
Since then Mitch has barely left my side. This did make us kinda closer since I basically poured out everything to him. Well, not everything.
Anyways, let's get to today. So, today the Knights are playing the Otters. And Mitch made sure I was going to the game because he wanted me to meet some of his friends from the Otters.
The game was fun to be at. I sat behind the Knights bench and made silly faces at Mitch as he came off the ice after every shift.
Mitch scored a goal on his first shift in the game. I could tell it picked up his spirits, being his first game back.
By the end of the third the Knights were already up 3-0 which was crazy. I could tell the team was pumped up from the atmosphere of the arena.
At the end of the game the Knights got the win with a 5-2 final. I headed down the stairway to the dressing rooms to go wait for the boys.
After standing outside the dressing rooms for a while the door to the guest change room opened. I looked up towards the sudden movement. A group of boys walked out two heading up the stairs towards the exit and two headed towards where I was sitting.
"Have fun ditching us for Marns you hosers!" One of the guys headed out yelled to the blonde and brunette as they sat on the floor beside me.
"You're just jealous." The brunette yelled back.
The two boys looked up at me once the others were gone. After finally getting a good look at them I realized that the blonde was Connor McDavid, the kid everyone has been talking about even though he's only 16.
"Hi!" The brown haired boy exclaimed in my direction, "I'm Dylan. And this is Connor."
"Hi, I'm Sky." I mumbled just loud enough for them to hear.
Luckily Mitch exits the locker room before the awkward really sets in. Mitch walks over to the three of us and because I'm the only one standing he hugs me first.
"You did so good!" I say to him with a smile.
"Thanks Sky. I'm so happy to be back." He smiles down at me, "hey boys." He chuckles once he looks past my shoulder to see the two of them.
The boys stand up and they take their turns 'bro-hugging'.
Once they have officially greeted each other Mitch suggests going to a movie. We all agree and head to Mitch's car. Once on the drive to the theatre I looked up what movies were on. And of course the boys decided on a scary movie.
I tell them that I get scared really easily and that I couldn't even sit through Jurassic World and made my friend leave after I was basically sitting on her lap and kept screaming.
Dylan replied with, "I'm sure Mitch won't mind one bit." I could just hear the smirk in his voice.
When we reached the theatre Mitch paid for the four tickets to Split.
Here's a rundown of how the rest of the movie went down. I sat on the end next to Mitch. Halfway through the movie I had both my legs over his and my arms around his neck just incase I had to hide my face.
I don't remember much of what happened due to shear panic. But by the end we pulled up to my house and Mitch walked me up to the door because I insisted I was going to be kidnapped or die if I walked the 20 feet by myself.
After I finally reached my bed I flopped onto it and passed out.
***
This may be TMI but you know what I'm a girl and it happens. I'm on my period.
My cramps are making it so hard to move and I could barely roll out of bed. So Jacob suggested I stay home today.
I messaged Mitch to let him know I wouldn't need a ride to school and that I wouldn't be there at all.
And of course being the boy he is he insisted on knowing why. So I told him.
And all I received back was a "K" and then silence.
About 30 minutes later there was a knock at the door. Jacob got it, and then there was a knock on my bedroom door. I yelled to come in and the door opened.
Mitch appeared with two grocery bags in his hands. He closed the door and sat beside me on my bed. He pulled out muscle relaxing stick on heat pads "so that when you feel up to it you can move and not be restricted bc your heating pad is plugged in", then he pulled out a giant bag of chocolate covered raisins "raisins are high in iron so they should help with cramps. And chocolate has the feel good stuff" he then pulled out a couple bags of chips "in case you're feeling salty" and then a teddy bear "because teddy bears are awesome."
"You're so sweet Mitch."
He spent the rest of the day with me. Cuddling, watching movies and eating snacks. And yes, I did say cuddling. We both ended up passing out at some point so Mitch ended up spending the night and seeing as it is Friday it doesn't really matter.
