It all started like any childhood. I had the typical parents. I grew up in the typical neighbourhood. And like any typical story, mine had it's ups and downs.
I wouldn't say that I was a difficult child, but I definitely had some difficulties growing up. I had a bit of a rebellious side (like any typical boy) but my dad made sure that it died down pretty fast.
My dad has always been the protective and caring type, always helping me with my passions.
He has a strong mind and he is always right. Well he had a strong mind and he was always right.
Dad used to be very tall with dark hair and dark eyes. And for some reason it always felt like his eyes were perfect for seeing all the wrong I've done. Dad always noticed my flaws. But I guess that's what a dad does, right?
Sometimes I still believe that those are the very qualities that determined the outcome of our story. You see, dad had a way of getting his way. Some people called it arrogance. Others called it selfishness. People even called it stubbornness.
I never saw it like that until that damn night. That night things just got a bit too much for Mom and me to handle. That night... Dad's stubbornness, selfishness and arrogance became clear to me.
To get to the point, my name is Johnothan Clark. I have dark hair and light brown eyes. I wouldn't consider myself as being a tall guy, but a lot of people tell me that I am quite tall.
When I die, I'm not going to have a book written about me or even have a lot of people talk about me. I'm not a very sociable person but I can be when it suits me. Unfortunately for my father's dreams, I won't live a legacy like the one he intended for me. I plan on living a simple life.
All I need is my little car to get from A to B; my little one-man-fridge to keep my cheese fresh; my bed to rest and my little roof to keep it all under. I have no desire for a television or even a pet. I am a simple man.
But as you know... life isn't that simple.
