"Are you sure you're all set sweetheart"? My mom asked.
"Yes mom I'll be fine" I said back to her in the car.
"Okay, have fun, but not too much fun" she joked.
"Ha ha" I said sarcastically back at her.
I climbed out of the pickup and walked to the trunk. I grabbed all my suitcases and laid them down.
I turned around and gave my mother a tight hug. I squeezed tighter as I felt the tears stream down her face as I chuckled lightly.
"Haha, mom I'm just going to college it's not like I'm going to the army or away for five years or something".
"I know but I'm going to miss you a lot though".
"I know.. me too".
"Well mom.. I have to go now".
"Okay" she sniffled.
I gave her one last tight hug, and walked off, heading to Barren Hall. I walked down 7th Hall, looking for room 106.
With my luck, I took my key and inserted it into the slot, making a clicking sound.
I slid open the door, and saw someone laying on the bed reading a SEVENTEEN magazine. She lowered the magazine, and her eyes widened.
"Hey! You must be Summer"! she yipped excitedly.
"Yeah, and you must be... Haliee" I said as I looked at my paper.
"Yeppp"!!!
"Cool. So Haliee.. tell me about yourself".
"Well... Umm.. I'm 20 years old, I'm a nonalcoholic, I don't smoke either, I am single, ready to mingle;), my dad is a banker, my mom is a physical therapist, I have 2 brothers and a sister. Is that all you want to know"?
"Well.. What are your hobbies"? I asked with curiosity.
"Well.. I like playing sports, video games, eating food, playing with most animals, having a girls night out, watching movies and TV, kissing guys (that's a big one haha), and that's about it."
"Cool! Me too"!
"What about you?"
"And like the same things that you like, except for the boys part, I'm not a big fan of boys".
"Ohhh.. Cool, I guess".
"Yeah".
"So do you want to go to the 'Activities Fair'"? Haliee
"Sure"!! I yelled in excitement.
"This is gonna be a real fun year"!! she winked.
