What's going on guys, we are back with another chapter. So the title makes no sense, based on the cliffhanger from the last chapter, but it does at the same time, so, unfortunately, you will have to read the chapter to find out. And let the reading commence! Shrek's Seven Monsters team's names, Xiao Len, Lao Veln, Bogly, Viu Sheish, Liu Vin Diaz, Eddra, and Long Hen Wiad
I can't figure out why I couldn't stop myself. It is now night out, and I'm in the tree, the really tall one that you can see Dark Star Forest from. I sat on a very comfortable branch, close to the top, thinking about what I did to second brother. Why didn't I just tap him? Why did I have to keep going? He still hasn't woken up, so I really hurt him. Having trouble accepting something you did? A voice appeared inside my head. I figured it was the dragon. You're getting better at guessing games! Why is it talking to me? Because I have no one else to talk to, and you need serious help. Quit beating yourself up over hurting your brother. He knew how strong you were, and was careless in his defense. You should be proud that your brother gave you a hard time, for being an auxiliary food system, and coming close to beating you. Plus, he almost beat your other brother. That's an achievement right there. So get up, suck up, man up, and get back out there! You have many things you must accomplish. Now this dragon was getting annoying. I'll talk to you later, then, if you're gonna leave. How can something inside my head be so annoying? That's quite rude, you know. I jump down from the tree, and start to walk back towards the school.
"Did the dragon annoy you?" Principal Jels asked, smiling slightly.
"Quite well, for a beast." I replied, not really watching what I was saying. The fact that he was here, and he knew what was happening, meant that he knew the answer to my question I had not yet asked.
"If you're going to ask me why we kept it a secet that Dark Star Forest is in our backyard, then all of the students could just walk over to it and get themselves killed. Even low leveled beasts will attack stronger opponents if they have the advantage in numbers. So, to keep as few people as possible from knowing where Dark Star Forest was, we had the staff take the students the long way around to reach it from where everybody else reaches it. Plus, all trips to Dark Star Forest made by students and staff have to be cleared by me first." Principal Jels explained rapidly, so fast that I could barely understand him.
"How long have you known I've been coming here?" I asked, unsure if he was mad at me for discovering it, or if he just wanted to make sure I understood his intentions.
"I've known since the beginning. I watched you encounter the monster hunters, then watched you climb the tree, and your expressions signaled me that the dragon was talking to you. I also followed you back to the school, cause I got lost myself." Principal Jels replied, shrugging his shoulders and scratching the back of his head. He chuckled a bit, and leaned against the tree to his left. "Shall we head back? Or do you want the dragon to annoy you with his wisdom some more?" He joked.
"Let us head back, Principal Jels. It is quite late." I replied. I was definitely not staying here, but I had no where else to go, so might as well head back with the principal. If he knows how to keep his mouth from running like a waterfall, I can think on the walk back.
"Alright. do you remember the way? Cause I sure don't. Happens to me every time I come out here. Maybe I should start bringing a map, huh?" He joked, laughing a bit as he talked. "Let's walk back in quietness, I have a bit of a headache." Couldn't ask for more myself. Though I wasn't going to say that out loud.
After we got back, Principal Jels waved goodbye and walked off to who knows where. I slowly walked back to my room, thinking about how I hurt my older brother. I still couldn't believe that I couldn't stop myself.
