Will We Make It?

Too Late

~Finn's P.O.V.~
I start walking and I end up right behind Rachel. I was about to tap her shoulder, but some guy walks up to her with a drink, she smiles and they walk away.

I just screwed up everything.

"Hey dude, you okay?" Puck asks.

"Yeah, perfectly fine. I have to go." I say and walk away. I start walking out the door and Quinn stops me.

"Did you talk to Santana?" She asks me.

"Yep." Is all I say.

"And what happened?" She asks again.

"She lied, Rachel didn't cheat on me." I tell her.

"And what does that mean for us? What does it mean for you?" She pushes.

"I'm really not sure. I don't want to hurt you... I'm just confused." I confess. She looks at me and kisses my cheek.

"I know it's her, it has always been her, go get your girl." She says and walks away.

I wish I could.

*Next day in glee club*

I get to the choir room and I overhear Rachel talking to Mercedes and Kurt.

"Thank you for making me go out, I finally think I'm over Finn." Rachel tells them. I hear her say that and my heart drops.

"Why aren't you sitting by Rachel, did you not tell her yet?" Quinn says, sitting next to me.

"I couldn't, she moved on. She met someone at the party and now she is over me." I confess to her.

"Maybe she met someone, but that doesn't mean she is over you, you have to try harder." She tells me.

"Why are you trying to help me date another person?" I ask.

"You deserve so much and I was an awful girlfriend when we first got together, I was mean and I cheated on you. I want you to be happy, but I also want Rachel to be happy, and for a long time it was my fault she wasn't, so I think I owe both of you." She tells me. When she says that I know that she means it, she really has changed.

"Okay everyone have a seat. I have an idea for our lesson this week. We are doing confessions." Mr. Shue says and everyone waits for an explanation.

"I know all of you have something you want to get off of your chest, something that you really want to tell someone." He explains.

Its so weird, sometimes I feel like Mr. Shue can read my mind. I have to find the perfect song to sing to Rachel. I look up and see Quinn walk over to Rachel. I see them talk and I wait nervously until Quinn walks back over to me.

"What did you say to her?" I ask.

"I told her that you know what really happened and that you need to talk to her." Quinn confesses. I look over at Rachel and she gets up and walks over to me.

"Can we talk?" She asks. I nod and we walk into the hallway.

"Quinn tells me that you finally believe I didn't cheat on you." She blurts out.

"Im so sorry that I didn't believe you Rachel. You were the only person that had never lied to me and i believed someone else over you. Will you please forgive me?" I say to Rachel. She looks at me with her big brown eyes and sighs.

"As much as I want to hate you for what you did to me, I can't.  You were my best and i just want that again." She admits. I can't help but smile and I go to give her a hug, but she stops me.

"Before you agree to just be friends, I have to tell you something." She tells me while looking at the ground.

"At the party I met someone and we are dating now. His name is Jesse and he is really sweet." She confesses. My smile goes away and it feels like I was punched in the heart. I was going to say something, but the guy from the party walks up and I knew I saw him somewhere before.

"Hey Rach, you ready to go?" He asks her. She nods her head and they walk away.

I watch them as they walk down the hallway and then I remember where I saw him before.... he is in vocal adrenaline.

He talked to Rachel before our competition when we beat them. He's using her. I start getting angry and Kurt walks up.

"Kurt, why is Rachel dating Jessie?" I ask him.

"Probably because your stupid self broke up with her." He says sarcastically.

"No, I know why she is dating, but why him. He is from vocal adrenaline." I tell him. He gets a weird look on his face and brushes his hands through his hair.

"Crap! I thought he was just a nice guy, but he is using her. We have to tell her." He says.

"She knows he is from vocal adrenaline, he talked to her at a competition." I inform him. He sighs and I know exactly what we have to do.

"Rachel will never believe us if we tell her he is bad for her, so I think we have to talk to someone about him." I tell Kurt. He nods his head and he knows exactly who I am talking about.

We have to talk to Shelby.
